It is America’s affinity for beer.
Long before the advent of today’s “celebrity spokesman,” no less a celebrated and accomplished figure than Benjamin Franklin described the quest to quench his thirst in theological terms.
The printer, scientist, inventor, statesman and founding father reportedly said, “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.”
That’s why it is somewhat strange that Franklin’s Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love” and home of a prominent Ivy League institution, played a contributing role in a recent decision that most beer drinkers hate. Continue reading
Let’s see, we have committees investigating committees that are investigating committees, and after millions of dollars spent, nothing is found. We have solid proof of political wrongdoings and financial insider “deals” with foreign countries, and time after time, we don’t see prosecutions. We have spent millions of dollars trying to find wrongdoings of a former president and still there is no proof after years and years. They’re still trying to find something; anything. Just another witch hunt, no matter what it costs the taxpayer. 
For membership in the pantheon of iconic, climactic movie lines, you’ll find a few obvious contenders, like Rhett Butler’s “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn” and Rick Blaine’s “Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” But few can match Charlton Heston’s immortal warning at the end of a film released fifty years ago, Soylent Green. I realize that some are awaiting my next installment on the history of banking in America, but sometimes I get these thoughts in my head that just demand that I write them down; if only to clear my mind so I can continue thinking about something else. This is one such occasion…
There was an informative article in the New American Magazine for April 24th which shows where public education is really coming from. The article noted: “According to the interim report released on March 21 by the House Committee on the Judiciary and its Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, there is more than enough evidence to prove that the National School Boards Association (NSBA) working in coordination with the Biden administration, created out of whole cloth the pressing need for federal investigation of parents. Twenty-five of those parents were investigated, but not a single charge was brought, indicating that the entire outrage was ‘manufactured’ with no ‘legitimate basis,’ according to the committee…” 
“By intensity of hatred nations create in themselves the characters they imagine in their enemies. Hence it is that all passionate conflicts result in the interchange of characteristics.” ~ 
This commentary speaks to America’s parallel with events that began in 1930s Germany and resulted in the meteoric rise of a right-wing group that eventually became the Nazi Party. But in America, it’s not the Nazis that worry me; it’s the Licentious Left that is most worrisome.
Americans cannot continue focusing on any candidate for President of the United States for what he can do for them and the economy, since it is this precise irresponsible, dependent mindset that has grown centralized federal government and its vast welfare system, that has also led America to a material determinism, crony-capitalism and more government intervention in businesses and intrusions into our personal lives, at odds with permanent human truths, our inalienable God-given rights and individual liberty. Americans can do better than Donald Trump, if only they choose to do so, and they damned for certain can and must do better than Joe Biden, the crazed, fascist despot. 
Apparently, doctors haven’t gotten the memo that the thinking portion of the public has already figured out these shots and boosters don’t prevent any kind of illness. AdventHealth’s Dr. Teresa Herbert said this version of omicron is more contagious but causes less severe illness, and that people should still be subjecting themselves to the disastrous mRNA booster.
