In recent congressional testimony Dr. Anthony Fauci, the primary architect of the Trump administration’s COVID response, painted a bleak picture about the United States’s ability to contain the pandemic. According to Fauci’s narrative, the United States is experiencing a resurgence in regional COVID outbreaks because it failed to sufficiently lock down back in March, and failed to comply with the existing lockdown orders. Fauci specifically contrasted this situation to several European states that imposed lockdowns around the same time, claiming the latter as a successful model for COVID containment.

There are several immediate problems with Fauci’s arguments, including the fact that COVID cases are showing clear signs of a summer resurgence in the same European countries that allegedly tamed the virus through harsh lockdowns in the spring. The American news media however has seized on Fauci’s narrative, and used it to call for renewed lockdowns. The New York Times and the Washington Post both editorialized in favor of a second stricter wave of nationwide lockdowns lasting until October – this despite there being no clear evidence that lockdowns actually work at taming the virus. I have been writing about Fasciunism for over twenty years now and what I am seeing today scares the snot out of me. For those of you who have not read any of my writings or do not remember I will give a short explanation as to what Fasciunism really is.

Fasciunism is a political philosophy combining fasciunism and communism in order to take over a country and turn it into something it was never meant to be. So Fasciunism as you can see is the combining of the words fasciunism and communism. The most frequent question I get asked is, “Aren’t these two “isms” on opposite ides of the spectrum?” That is what the mainstream media and the so called upper education system would like to have us believe. “Do what the Doctah sez Harry!”

One of Ayn Rand’s lesser-known works of fiction paints a disturbingly familiar picture.

Recent legislators, activists, and education reformers have promised to lead us into a new world of equity. No longer will some groups have a different lifestyle from others. No longer will some groups have a different education from others. There will be reform or else, Hawk Newsome warns, “we will burn down this system and replace it.”

For a preview of these glories, we have only to open Ayn Rand’s Anthem. In this dystopian novella, collectivists achieve their ideal by burning cities and books, then implementing central planning. Now everyone is equal: equally poor, equally housed, equally limited in what they can say and do and think.

If, as Jen Maffessanti observes, dystopian fiction helps us understand the dangers we face, then none is more relevant to this moment than Rand’s novella. What Anthem clarifies is the real significance of collectivist ideals and language, which undermine not only our rights but our ability to articulate them. Continue reading →

Anarchists, looters and arsonists engage in heinous acts of wanton violence while good people stand by and watch from the sidelines. Democrat office holders, in acts of appeasement to the violent mob, tell their police forces to stand down in the face of racial-driven violence, thereby emboldening the anarchists to increase their violence. Businesses are burned, people are injured or killed and foul graffiti adorns the walls and streets of the city. There is very little new under the sun. The monument and statue destruction that we are witnessing has been witnessed in other times and other places. A tyrant’s first battlefield is to rewrite history. Most notable were the political purges of Joseph Stalin. The Soviet government erased figures from Soviet history by renaming cities — such as the Imperial capital of St. Petersburg to Petrograd and Leningrad and Stalingrad — and eradicating memories of czarist rule.
