…and what it has become.
The following post provides a comment from a viewer, and an emotional video from a man who was amazingly talented, but most importantly who has taken the words (also posted below) of Canadian-American singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright from 2007 and turned them into something of his own. At the later stages of George Michael’s life – he had mastered his craft as both a singer and a song-writer, and his ability to LIVE each song as he presented it is something to behold and cherish. The peace which he has brought to me over the past few days has been amazing, I feel the need to share with you what I have felt. Each reader will draw from the following what moves your own emotion. ~ Ed.
An interesting hour on Facebook tonight. As always there are posts to smile about, cry about, get angry about, but of course – what bothers me is having put efforts into posting information that is submitted to educate and help people. No foul language – no smart-aleck comments – just superb, well researched information – in this case – related to issues which DO affect YOUR health and well-being, but then the new “rules” at Facebook – are against this kind of information. 
Once in awhile when I complete a column (of course I hadn’t posted one of my own since early in the year) I’ll send it out to a select few people – you know they type – the ones who CARE about America – the ones who COUNT – the ones who GIVE A SHIT!?!?!?
October 27, 2018 ~ So I was awakened this morning with a phone call from some pushy woman doing a survey as to whether I had received my voting packages in the mail, to which I responded that I had. She then raised her voice in a snotty manner and demanded to know, “When are you going to send them in?” I told her, “When the people of Arizona start putting up quality people for office” and then told her to leave me alone. HEY – she woke me up out of a sound sleep – whaddya want? 
Few remember the 1968 Broadway play, ‘HAIR’. A live performance originally performed at the Biltmore Theatre, 261-5 West 47th St. in New York City. I did not see it in New York, but while on R&R in Tokyo in ’69 (from ‘nam) I stayed at a hotel that was also hosting the Chicago cast for performances in that city. Only one performance was held, due to the nudity on stage. The cast and play were subsequently banned from further performances due to pornography laws. I was privileged to spend several evenings in the bar and restaurant with that cast and made some interesting friends, many of who I would meet up with again when I was released from the Army after my 21 months “in country.” 
It is time to recycle this column…. On May 5th, 2010, I received an email from a reader, inquiring about “proof,” that voting by those who were not eligible to vote, was in fact taking place in the united States. His question arose, because of a discussion he had had, with a hard-left Democrat, as related to the topic of votes cast by illegal aliens.
Several days ago – with the aid of this image from my very talented friend Louis Turner, I posted the following comment on Facebook: My friends – we each have our distinctive beliefs, but there are times that we must band together for the greater good. An invasion from our Southern border is going to affect each of us… and there are other issues that we may have to put aside for awhile. There is already enough hate and anger in this nation as it is, and as Sydney Greenstreet’s character, Mr. Peters in the 1940’s Warner Bros film, ‘
This has been an unusual 24 hours in my life… I could not sleep well last night, but…
I grew up in a little town about 25 miles north of Chicago called Northbrook, Ilinois at a time when everyone treated each other with respect. We didn’t eat a lot of fast food. We drank Kool-aid, ate lunch meat sandwiches, PB&J sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, hot dogs, but mostly home made meal such as meatloaf, fried chicken, roast beef & pork chops, black eye peas, snap peas…
We are all heated. We are all angry – many of us for the same reasons – many for even other reasons. The entire political system in this country from the top down is rotten. The pussies, the snowflakes and the spoiled brats are angry – but they aren’t even sure why, so they get paid to go out and raise hell and protest, but when asked “why” – most don’t even have an answer. Antifa and some of the other spoiled groups are getting paid under the table by – maybe Soros, maybe someone else. And then that worthless lying Porch Monkey comes out of his hiding place (from the bath house?) and is stirring up even more anger and confusion. It is going to get real ugly real soon. We must all find common ground among us, and stop wasting our time with the small stuff. It gets us nowhere.
