Discriminación!

June 20, 2011 ~ On Friday, June 17th, Granny (#1) sent me one of Linda Bentley’s columns dealing with what ostensibly I would labeled “racist studies” in Arizona classrooms. Specifically, the Tucson Unified School District’s “Raza Studies” program, studies which, 1) promoted resentment towards a race or class of people; 2) were designed primarily for pupils of a particular ethnic race; and 3) advocated ethnic solidarity instead of the treatment of pupils as individuals.

Each are in complete violation of the Arizona Revised Staute §15-112 which states, “A school district or charter school in this state shall not include in its Program of Instruction any courses or classes that include any of the following…

The course has recently been renamed, ‘Mexican-American Studies‘. Frankly, there is NOTHING American about these “history” courses. Continue reading

Frankly I have better things to do… don’t I?

In June of 2011, Anthony Weiner had announced his bid for President. He had chosen Eric Holder as his running mate. Make sure to hurry out and get your ‘Weiner-Holder‘ bumper sticker. The following was our satirical approach to the issue… but one could only IMAGINE what we might do with a similar approach to Kamala Harris! ~ JB

The whole damned country is living in La La land!

YUP, that’s about it. The whole damned country is living nothing but a fantasy. Fairyland on stilts – looking over the fence to see who is screwing the next door neighbor’s wife, while her hubby is down the street boinking some other gal.

Ten years ago this month, I was in the final stages of developing the Federal Observer. It’s hey-day came and went like a lighting bug in the ‘burbs of Chicaga. We were basically done within three years. Today it’s purpose is merely old habit I suspect – just something that I can refer to on my (then) daily broadcast, “Life, Liberty & All That Jazz“.

Since our first day of publication, the delusional attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon have taken place, and America had the final nail of her coffin, shoved right up it’s ass.

Why, Mr. Bennett… do you REALLY have to use such vulgar language?Continue reading

Sex Changes and Shared Bathrooms

Or something like that.

bennett_2015_altMay 31, 2015 ~ My wife and I have had tickets for Phantom of the Opera at Gammage Auditorium since my birthday (a present you know), and so as beat as I am we left her house (hahahahah) at about 11:20 for a 1:00 p.m. curtain call. If you get their early enough – you are guaranteed a parking spot nearby.

I am now fully packed for my uh – ‘fishing trip‘ – yeah – that’s what I call it, so we were easy breezy, except that I had not been to Gammage in some years, so it took a bit of driving around the May pole to remember where it was. We made it in time for a great parking spot – but too early to be seated – that would be another 20 minutes or so – and God – I am tired… Continue reading

A Lion in the Streets

May 17, 2009Like an old Blues song, this column should open with the proverbial line, “I woke up this morning…”

Shortly after I began my ‘career’ in broadcasting in 1995, I met a man, who I would interview on numerous occasions, and who over the years, would converse with me due to a common-connection: We were both Veterans of the Rumble in the Jungle – the Police Action known as Viet Nam.

In an age, when the political stage is filled with near-do-wells, queer-do-wells, and well-funded perpetual dilatants, who occupy offices of influence, Ted Sampley spent many years exposing these ‘heroes’ for what they truly are – cowards. Continue reading

Survived to Kick-Ass another day…

So… Wednesday evening I had to make a trip to the ER at my local Hospital. My first thought was a mini-stroke. But then I haven’t done that for many years… oh – wrong story, but anyway…

Do not be concerned as I was able to determine exactly what the problem was and shared it with the attending Physician after he had me do some physical games, touch fingers, watch his fingers move, lift legs, lift arms… all of which are used to test ones’ coordination. They still did every possible test looking for something worse – but it all came back to my – UH – knowledge and abilities. Continue reading

…of greater importance!

May 13, 2018 – July 24, 2001, the day that the Federal Observer was launched. Much has transpired in these nearly two decades – and little of it has been good – maybe other than the births of my two eldest granddaughters and the acceptance of the older granddaughter by Arizona State University into the Bio-Medical Engineering program, and yet…

The Federal Observer has limped along these past few years, declining from its high of 6 million (yeah – that magic number) views per month beginning shortly after 9/11. There were few web-sites of its type around then – they are a dime a dozen today – each one copying the other. Continue reading

A question of “illegal voters

The following was published on May 8, 2010. To me is has become extremely important for all of us to pay attention to this during 2020 – a major election year for numerous reasons… the first of which is, Court blocks Trump order to exclude undocumented immigrants from census. I know, I know – What does the census have to do with voting?”  If I need to explain that to you – then you truly ARE asleep at the wheel. More money and greater Federal representation for the Districts which they live in – and there will be more illegal voting taking place.

On May 5th 2010, I received an email from a reader, inquiring about “proof,” that voting by those who were not eligible to vote, was in fact taking place in the united States. His question arose, because of a discussion he had had, with a hard-left Democrat, as related to the topic of votes cast by illegal aliens.

We submit to you, the author’s letter, and my response to him.JB Continue reading

I am an Arizona resident…

May 3, 2010 ~ To begin with, I applaud Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and the 2009-2010 State Legislation for doing the job, that the Federal Government won’t to do (Hmmmmmm – where did I come up that line???), establishing the rule of law in Arizona. Governor Brewer’s predecessor, and, now Secretary of Homeland “Security” in Washington DeCeipt, wouldn’t do the job, while she served in our state as Federal Prosecutor, and as Governor. Maybe it’s time to replace Napolitano with someone who will do the job that she won’t do. I’ll not cry out, “Come back Shane. Come back!” We don’t want her here.

Let’s see now, if anyone in Arizona (and the rest of the nation, for that matter) are pulled over for a traffic violation, the law-enforcement person, will ask for your driver’s license, your registration, and your proof of insurance. Hmmmmm – good beginning. Continue reading

Do We Begin Again???

Or do we just say, ‘the hell with it all!’???

JFB_2009_portApril 25, 2006 – It has been a long time since I have had any desire to write any new columns for this publication, and frankly this is the closest that I am able to come at this point. You will soon understand why.

Earlier today, I received a phone call from a great friend and former contributor to The Federal Observer, Karen-Lee Bixman. Our conversation was comprised of catching up with the world around us – in other words – our families – among other things. Amongst the reasons she called me, was to thank me for having maintained her archives all these years (her last official submission was on January 28, 2004), as her now grown children are beginning to inquire of her work. While doing a quick archival search of our old files, the following column came before me, and while some of the details have changed, my sentiments persist. (NOTE: Due to some technical updates of this site, the old archives of the Federal Observer are no longer available.) Continue reading

Where Do I Begin?

“A little group of willful men, representing no opinion but their own, have rendered the great government of the United States helpless and contemptible.” ~ Woodrow Wilson

April 19, 2009 – Unlike the Erich Segal novel of the late 1960’s, this is not a “Love Story”, but one of a love gone bad – or at least out of lust.

Having recently returned from a trip to North Carolina, I begin to have a different perspective on the issues of the day, but first, I must return to history to establish my current mental status.

I have spent most of my life (since the 5th grade) reading and studying history – chiefly that of America. ‘America’! What a beautiful land, comprised of mostly beautiful people of vast lands and cultures. A place where people dreamed of, but of a single word, ‘Freedom.’ The Grand Experiment, where all could come to live their dreams of opportunity and the rights to free speech, freedom of religion and so much more. Sleeping With the Enemy

March 31, 2009Are you shocked? Hell, I”m not. When you sleep with the Devil – you take it in the assets.

So, a few months ago, while Junior was still in residency at 1600, the (once) B I G Three Auto makers from the Mutha City (Detroit) came to town to beg for financial AIDS from Big Brother and the holding Company (CON-ress). They all flew down to the city of DeCeit – Washington, you know – BIG cars, loose wimmen, little choir boys (pages) and 535 Traitors with no balls.

Moe (Alan Mulally), Larry (Robert Nardelli) and Curly (Richard Wagoner) came in on those BIG corporate jets, each of which I am sure has burled paneled walls, BIG screen tv’s, a fully stocked bar, and maybe even some more loose wimmins! Wearing their BEST $3,000 Armani suits with their rich, Corinthian leather shoes (sorry Ricardo), they plopped their BIG asses down at the table in front of the CON-gressional twits and stated their cases, as to why they should be bailed out, like the boys on Wall Street and Bankers Alley.

Preface: In the Garden of Eden

“Write drunk; edit sober.” – Ernest Hemingway

~ Preface ~
The Vietnam War in picture 03March 17, 2014 ~ February 15, 1968: Being the Chef, bartender and janitor at the off-post Officer and NCO club near the North Point, Germany home of the 619th Ordinance unit, I was cleaning up the club after the monthly combined wives club luncheon, when Holroyd informed me that I had a call from Division Headquarters which I needed to take. It was Frank (our former Company clerk) telling me that my tour of duty was nearly at an end, and asked how many days leave I wanted to take in the States. I told him that I had no desire to return home, “What’s up?” The answer was the one, which most of us dreaded at that time. TET had taken its toll that month in Viet Nam, and I was being called up. “Oh shit,” I thought to myself, but, what the hell? – I was ready for a new adventure anyway. After all – it was easy in the movies, wasn’t it, John Wayne and all? I told Frank that I would take 45 days and began to make my preparations. Continue reading

That Goddamned Piece of Paper – Again!

That “goddamned piece of paper” – again

“Three days after the attacks of September 11th, 2001 The Federal Observer, in conjunction with Armed Females of America posted the petition, which would ultimately lead to victory to restore a commercial airline pilot’s right to be armed in defense of his aircraft, his crew and ultimately – his passengers. Three hundred and fifty-nine days after our modern “Day of Infamy”, this second leg of our battle for America has been won – now onto the President’s desk. In less than one year – with the work, which we had begun – we have witnessed victory with the help, efforts and assistance of the Airline Pilots Security Alliance – an organization, which did not exist until after our petition came along.” (from It’s a Good Day to Die, September 7, 2002)

After the September 11 attacks, commercial airline pilots were allowed to carry guns if they completed a federal-safety program. No longer would unarmed pilots be defenseless as remorseless hijackers seized control of aircraft and rammed them into buildings. The Federal Observer is proud to have played a major role in that accomplishment. Continue reading

Bill & Hillary: The Movie

… well – not really.

The image posted to the left (of course) was recently lifted from a column which I was perusing…. but that is all that I did, for her “story” never changes – the point of our ‘historical’ post today. From a position on the Watergate hotel investigation (where she got fired for deceitful practices and lying), to the First ‘Lady” (LOL) of Arkansas, to the First Beotch in the White House along with her ‘husband’ Willy Jeff – oh and her ‘relationships’ with Vince Foster and ultimately Webster Hubbell (the sperm-donor who created Chelsea) – Hillario has had quite a ‘career.’ But then she always yearned for more – MUCH MORE. “Can I get a schmeer with that Col. Sanders?”

A few words between old friends…

bennett_2015February 24, 2016 ~ I’ve been in New Yawk for the past week and am flying home later today. It’s beginning to snow.

“Wait! Didn’t Al the Gorical tell us that there would be no more snow?”

Of course he did, because he knew that we were all going to Hell anyway. I mean, the only global warming is escaping from the mouths and anal portals of our elected official-DUMB in D.C.

“Yup, and these Devil incarnates will definitely be leading the way back down into the hole from which they sprang.”

Each others!

“Hahahahahaha!”
