A veteran of Viet Nam, student of history (both American and film), Jeffrey Bennett has been broadcasting for over twenty-eight years as host of Perspectives on America, and later - 'Life, Liberty & All That Jazz.' Jeff is considered the voice of reason on the alternative media - providing a unique and distinctive broadcast style, including topics such as health and wellness, news, political satire - with a twist, education and editorial commentary on current events through the teaching of history.
In addition, Jeff publishes The Federal Observer - a daily on-line publication, which co-authored and spear-headed a petition, which ultimately caused new legislation to be signed by President George W. Bush within 450 days of the events that rocked our world on September 11, 2001.
“A man’s natural rights are his own, against the whole world; and any infringement of them is equally a crime, whether committed by one man, or by millions; whether committed by one man, calling himself a robber, (or by any other name indicating his true character,) or by millions, calling themselves a government.” ~ Lysander Spooner
American traditions, once thought immutable, have sustained one withering assault after the next over the past eighty years or so, while taking even harder hits from the Bush administration to the present Biden regime, traditions supported by America’s core principles found within Natural Law, Christianity and the Declaration of Independence. These traditions exist because they were well-founded in truth and practical ideas that worked for the benefit of all in the best of all possible manners, respecting mankind’s reality and existence within nature as a free born and sovereign, each to their own, and the sanctity of marriage, one man one woman, and life itself, and the right to pursue our own life without any oppressive government intrusions.
Our traditions time have not come to pass but still survive precisely due to their foundations in truth, and they need only to be defended and brought to bear in the hearts of America’s families, Her sons and daughters and Her patriots once more, ever more fiercely and fervently. Continue reading →
Vice President Kamala Harris’ 90-year-old ex-boyfriend Willie Brown believes that President Joe Biden should step down as president so that she can take the job.
Brown candidly revealed his thoughts about Harris, who he dated when he was 60 and running for mayor of San Francisco, and she was a relatively unknown 29-year-old prosecutor. Continue reading →
I couldn’t go to Woodstock, because I was training for a tour in Vietnam. I was 20 years old and had no idea what I was getting into. On the chartered flight to DaNang, we sang this song over and over. The lyrics were so true. The military industrial complex is who wanted this war. It had nothing to do with preserving freedom in the U.S.. ~ David Holst Continue reading →
I wish everything I wrote of late wasn’t so damned pessimistic, but given what I’ve witnessed over the past several decades, it really is hard to believe much will change after the 2024 election. If we aren’t in a full blown hot civil war, within the next ten to eleven years, it will be a damned miracle, but even so, it is almost a certainty those years will be marked by the greatest civil upheaval and strife any of us have ever witnessed in our lifetime… and it’s going to be damned ugly. Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he was ready to debate Kamala Harris on FoxNews – and with an audience present. This was unacceptable to Harris, who insisted Trump stick to the agreement he had with Biden and show up on ABC, with heavy moderation and no audience. Continue reading →

Nonsanctuary cities and states could retaliate against sanctuary cities that have shipped out migrants from their streets to Republican-run jurisdictions under a new proposal.
Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT) will debut legislation this week to cut off hundreds of millions of dollars in Federal Emergency Management Agency funding to cities that, overwhelmed with illegal immigrants who have been released into the country from the southern border , have opted to use federal grant money to pay for bus, train, and plane tickets to move migrants to other towns. Former President Donald Trump falsely claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris has only recently begun identifying as Black, and that until a few years ago “she was only promoting Indian heritage.” That’s nonsense.
Harris, whose mother was born in India and whose father is from Jamaica, has always identified as both Indian American and Black.
Trump appears to be trying to resurrect bogus social media claims that gained some traction back in 2020 after Harris was tapped as Joe Biden’s running mate. The posts claimed that when Harris became a senator in 2017, she only identified as an Indian American, and that she only later began identifying as Black for political gain. It was nonsense then, too. Continue reading →
The U.S. economy created fewer jobs than expected while the unemployment rate increased, signaling that the labor market could be going through a rapid deceleration at a time when the Federal Reserve could soon be cutting interest rates.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), there were 114,000 new jobs in July, down from 179,000 in June. This fell short of the consensus estimate of 175,000.
The unemployment rate rose to 4.3 percent, up from 4.1 percent, and higher than economists’ expectations of 4.1 percent. This represents the highest jobless rate since October 2021.
Average hourly earnings eased to a smaller-than-expected pace of 3.6 percent year-over-year. On a monthly basis, average hourly earnings edged up 0.2 percent. Continue reading →
In the Soviet Union everything was controlled by the state
Rebekah Koffler
Now that we’ve celebrated Independence Day and the fireworks, barbecues and other festivities are over, I’m pondering about what independence really is. While the holiday commemorates the Declaration of Independence from Great Britain, as an immigrant, the word independence has a special meaning for me. It encompasses a much broader concept than the separation of the United States from the kings and queens of the Old World.
I was born and raised in Soviet Russia. My parents disagreed with the communist system, but they didn’t actively rebel against it – there was no point. The state apparatus that controlled the people was so strong that it was impossible to shake it up. Instead, my mother inculcated in me the idea that one day, I would be free and independent because I would go to America.
As a child, I didn’t know what America was and why I was to flee to this unknown land, abandoning my family and friends in Russia. But I didn’t question my mother. I knew she wanted the best for me. Continue reading →
While Gary Sinise is best known for iconic roles including George Milton in Of Mice and Men and Lieutenant Dan Taylor in Forrest Gump, it’s his work off the silver screen that has attracted a lot of attention in recent years.
While Sinise has always been supportive of military veterans and their families, it was a meeting with the first post-9/11 quadruple amputee, U.S. Army Specialist Brendan Marrocco, in 2009, that inspired him to do even more. Continue reading →
In November of this year, a new U.S. president will be elected, but after the recent debate, the tension over this decision is at a peak. People seem very discouraged, scared even. Neither main candidate seems right to a great number of people, and recently I’ve seen the term “double hater” in the news.
Double haters are those individuals who see both candidates as wrong on so many levels that they view themselves as having to choose between two evils. There seems to be a lot of cognitive dissonance concerning our country as well as our political system. Continue reading →
‘We need these reforms to ensure trust in the courts [and] preserve the system of checks and balances that are vital to our democracy,’ Biden said.
Biden called for reforms to the Supreme Court in a speech at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in Austin, Texas, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act.
“We need a mandatory code of ethics for the Supreme Court, and we need it now,” he told the audience on July 29. “Today, I’m calling for three bold reforms to restore trust and accountability to the court.”

The roughly 480,000 residents with limited English proficiency represents approximately 10% of the state workforce, and may be a significant undercount, due to reliance on 2022 census estimates, according to a new analysis released Wednesday by MassINC and the UMass Donahue Institute.
The analysis places the blame on state and federal funding that has not kept pace with growth in the state’s limited English-speaking, or foreign-born, population over the past two decades, which it says has led to large gaps in access to high-quality English-as-a-second-language services.
Following that report, a growing number of the state’s residents indicated that “migrants/immigration” is the top issue for its leaders to address… (Continue to full article)
Female Police Officer Is Shot by Illegal Venezuelan Immigrant – Who Snuck Through Border and Was Released Into Texas
A Venezuelan man who entered the US illegally shot at three Texas police officers, injuring one cop who was dragged to safety during the shootout by her fellow officers.
Jorge Chacon-Gutierrez, 25, who illegally crossed into Eagle Pass, Texas in November 2023 but was then released by federal authorities, has been identified as the shooter, according to Fox News.
Chacon-Gutierrez was found dead after he opened fire on the three officers who were responding to a domestic violence call at an apartment, the local police chief confirmed. Chacon was released into the US after he was given a notice to appear before a federal judge in April 2026.
‘These are the consequences of failed catch & release policies,’ tweeted Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales … (Continue to full article)

Elizabeth Warren calls for granting citizenship to illegal immigrants
Sen. Elizabeth (Lie-Awatha) Warren, D-Mass., called for creating a pathway to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants on Sunday, arguing Vice President Kamala Harris is the candidate to “get it done.” …says Harris ‘Will get that done‘
“Border crossings now are lower than they were in the last year of the Trump administration. But recognize – and I know that Kamala Harris knows – this is a problem that ultimately has to be solved by Congress.”
“We need the tools in order to have more resources at the border, to have more resources in the states and cities that are supporting migrants. And I believe we need to create a pathway to citizenship. All of that is part of what we need to do for comprehensive immigration reform.
“Worst of all, Kamala Harris would happily erode every protection we have to prevent them from voting,” ~ JD Vance… (Continue to full article)
Border Agents Cannot Search Smartphones Without A Warrant, Rules Federal Court
A federal court has ruled that US Customs and Border Protection agents cannot search smartphones without a warrant.
The ruling didn’t actually help the defendant who brought the case, and only applies to the Eastern District of New York where the case was brought, but may help set a privacy precedent …
Kurbonali Sultanov returned to the US at JFK, where border agents told him he needed to hand over his smartphone and the passcode needed to access it. Child sexual abuse material was found on the device, and he was indicted.
According to the court ruling, Sultanov sought to suppress the evidence on the grounds that it was obtained illegally
President Joe Biden’s border policies can’t be attributed to mismanagement or incompetence, former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Tom Homan said at the Republican National Convention recently. “It’s a choice. It’s national suicide.”
Homan, who has a more than 30-year career in law enforcement, began his career as a Border Patrol agent in 1984. After 34 years, he became the first director of ICE, twice, who “actually came up through the ranks,” he said. “I worked for six presidents, starting with Ronald Reagan. Every president I’ve worked for said they were going to secure the border. President Trump actually did it.” Continue reading →
