America witnessed a fairly intense campaign to remove or destroy statues memorializing revered and honored men of the Confederate States of America in 2017, and in the wake of George Floyd’s murder by a policeman in Minneapolis, once again, America is seeing a broader range of destruction aimed at any and all statues, monuments, and memorials honoring all those men of impeccable character, who had some part in making America exceptional. Rioting, looting and burning American cities are no longer enough, and in their ignorance of historical fact, they peddle their revisionist history without factual foundation, and they also seek to destroy every last vestige, right down to the tiniest bit, of American history, even the movie ‘Gone With the Wind‘, while police and public officials stand down, and even encourage them. Recently someone on the East Coast sent me a copy of The Epoch Times newspaper for June 11th. In the opinion section of the paper there was an informative article by a Diana Zhang. As she has family in China this is a pen name, used to protect them.
Ms. Zhang had an informative article on the Chinese Communist Party, which is probably typical of most Communist Parties. Zhang noted that: “China has a unique model: ‘Enrich the party and exploit the people…When the CCP first took over China it killed landowners and took their land, killed business owners and took their businesses. Private property became state-owned–actually, CCP owned. Everything in China is owned by the CCP. When China’s economy was close to falling off a cliff, Western countries bailed out the CCP. With the opening of trade and the U.S. market to China, China privatized a lot of the land, but CCP officials and their relatives got the lion’s share of opportunities. The CCP used the ideals of socialism to rob people of their property, then privatized it into their own hands.” Continue reading

Classic totalitarian regimes share a number of common characteristics. The rise of these regimes began with a cultural revolution, aimed at angering the citizens against the current system. During that period domestic enemies are designated, and the people in the radical movement aiming at overthrowing the old system rally together against those common enemies, calling it a common struggle, as they adopt a new official ideology that stands significantly apart from the old one. They seek to control every aspect of the lives of their people, enlisting everyone they can to participate in the struggle. Even persons who may belong to enemy classes or groups join up, hoping to receive mercy when the new regime gains control. In Stalin’s Russia and Mao’s China the enemies were anyone who reminded them of the old system, and anyone who could challenge them if left with enough power. The state enemies were the capitalists, landlords, richer peasants and foreign agents of all kinds. Nazi Germany included those outside the national community, which included socialists (even though Nazism was a form of socialism) and communists, Jews, Christians, and any ethnic minorities that did not fit into the German model of a loyal elite specimen. Rolling Stone magazine is a liberal rag, and editor Matt Taibbi is unquestionably a liberal. Welcome to a real civilization-destroying pandemic, one that makes the recent saccharine exhortations to “stay safe” and the deployment of police officers to enforce outdoor mask-wearing seem like decadent bagatelles.
This particular form of viral chaos was inevitable, given the failure of Minneapolis’s leaders to quell the city’s growing mayhem. The violence began on Tuesday, May 26, the day after the horrifying arrest and subsequent death of George Floyd. On the night of Thursday, May 28, Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey ordered the city’s Third Police Precinct evacuated as the forces of hatred, distinct from legitimate forms of protest, descended upon it for a third day in a row. The building was promptly torched, sending a powerful sign that society would not defend its most fundamental institutions of law and order. Continue reading

Among the more disturbing images to come out of the recent street violence following the killing of George Floyd are those of police officers and white civilians kneeling “in solidarity” with the protesters.

America should sit up and take notice that House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) is rejecting the chants to “defund the police” everybody now hears across the country, in the wake of the City Council of Minneapolis voting to dismantle its police department, on June 7th, to make way for a new model for public safety [whatever that means], while many others across the spectrum of America’s local, state and federal governments are joining the clamor, screaming “systemic racism”, and jumping aboard the Defund Train. The most extreme radicals of the nation, in the political arena and the media, are pushing the defund police agenda, in a manner that distracts from making any real reforms, and, due to a few bad police officers’ sins, whose actions have yet to be proven to be racially motivated, these same radicals would bring all America to ruin.
