Ben Shapiro declares that Abdul El-Sayed, Zohran Mamdani, Hasan Piker, and Cenk Uygur are all ‘anti-American, Islamists‘ who ‘shouldn’t be in the country‘

The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro took aim at Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, streamer Hasan Piker and Young Turks founder Cenk Uygur on Monday, accusing all four of undermining American democracy
Conservative podcaster Ben Shapiro has claimed that Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, New York’s Zohran Mamdani, and far-left influencers Hasan Piker and Cenk Uygur don’t belong in the US.
The Daily Wire founder made the declaration Monday on The Ben Shapiro Show.
‘Meanwhile, the West continues to import these people,’ Shapiro griped at a point, pointing out how all are either foreign-born or have parents who are immigrants.
None of the people I just mentioned should be in the country. None of them.’
Shapiro, 42, went on the rant after playing a clip of Piker addressing political backlash El-Sayed has received for welcoming the controversial internet personality to multiple campaign events this year.
‘And now, Abdul El-Sayed is claiming that the race is not about a social media person from California,’ Shapiro said.
The remark referenced how, during an appearance before the Michigan Democrats’ Jewish Caucus on Saturday, El-Sayed told reporters: ‘If you want to make this race about a streamer in California, I just think you’re missing the boat.’
He added that he was ‘not interested in a conversation about a social media person in California.’
‘I agree – it’s about you, dude,’ Shapiro began. ‘You’re the one who believes exactly the same things that Hasan Piker believes. He’s a radical, anti-American, Islamist who supports terrorism. I mean, that is who El-Sayed is.’
Shapiro pointed to remarks El-Sayed made in the wake of a March attack on a suburban Detroit synagogue that cops said was committed by a Lebanese-born man.
The suspect lost relatives in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon the week before, leading El-Sayed, 41, to remark that ‘hurt people hurt people.’ He also criticized the attack as ‘an evil act of displaced rage.’ He apologized for the former comment on Saturday.
Shapiro, an ardent Israel supporter, proceeded to poke holes in the Senate candidate’s apology. El-Sayed claimed he ‘was trying to do was offer context… but it wasn’t the time for context and you don’t ever want to trample somebody’s pain.’
‘So he doesn’t disagree with what he was saying – he just believes that, you know, it was offensive, because of when he said it.
‘So once again, always and forever, the West is responsible for the sins of Islam.’
‘And this is the prevailing view for people like El-Sayed,’ the podcaster went on, before claiming the same went ‘for Piker, for Cenk Uygur [and] Zohran Mamdani.
‘And now for a Democratic party that has decided that they must travel with these people and basically agree with them.

The conservative singled out Mamdani as well, before asking how the US has benefited from such figures’ families being allowed into the country
‘And, meanwhile, the West continues to import these people.’
‘None of these people have to be here. Can we just point this out?’ Shapiro went on.
He asked ‘what was the benefit’ of El-Sayed’s parents emigrating to the US, from Egypt, before wondering the same of Mamdani’s.
‘How about Cenk Uygur’s family and Hasan Piker’s family?’ he continued. Piker was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, but was raised in Turkey.
Uygur, the far-left founder of The Young Turks, was born in Istanbul and moved to the US with his family when he was eight.
‘What has been the vast boon to the American taxpayer from these people?’ Shapiro asked rhetorically. ‘What has been the great cultural reawakening that has occurred because of these people who despise the country?’
He ended the episode by panning Piker for wearing Chairman Mao Zedong-style tunics.
‘Mao, famous for literally murdering tens of millions of human beings, including people who just disagreed with him during the Cultural Revolution. Piker is perfectly fine with mass murder of political opponents.’
Twenty-five years after 9/11, New York’s governor is donning a hijab and New York City’s mayor believes that people spontaneously combusted on 9/11.
Piker is a self-professed socialist. The streamer has come under fire for pro-Palestine rhetoric, including his 2024 take on the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.
‘It doesn’t matter if f**king rapes happened on October 7. Like, that doesn’t change the dynamic for me,’ the streamer said.
Critics have panned politicians for associating with him in the years since as the Democratic Party grapples with its messaging.
Piker and Uygur were blocked entry into Britain in June. Both men were barred for criticism of Israel’s activities in Gaza, the UK Home Office said.
El-Sayed is an epidemiologist and former Wayne County Health Department director who may become the US’s first Muslim senator if elected in November.
