“Virginia is for Lovers” — that was the old slogan.
Now, thanks to Governor Abigail Spanberger and her Democrat crew, it’s looking a lot more like “Virginia is for Backstabbers“.
Today, April 21st, Virginians head to the polls for a special redistricting referendum. Many Republican voters who helped put Spanberger in office as a supposed “moderate” are waking up with a knife in their backs. She campaigned as a reasonable Democrat focused on kitchen-table issues.
Once in power? She’s governing like a full-on progressive, pushing a power grab that would let the Democrat-controlled legislature rewrite congressional maps mid-decade — conveniently turning Virginia deep blue and handing themselves a massive advantage. Remember when Spanberger was against gerrymandering? Yeah… she was against it right up until her party could use it to stab Republican voters in the back.
It’s classic bait-and-switch. Virginia voters thought they were getting balance. Instead, they’re getting a one-party power grab dressed up as “fairness.” The same people who screamed about “threats to democracy” are now trying to rig the map to protect their own power. This isn’t governance — it’s betrayal.
Tuesday’s vote is your chance to push back, Virginia patriots: Don’t let the backstabbers win.
