Ross ~ My Thoughts Where We Stand Today

“An honest man can feel no pleasure in the exercise of power over his fellow citizens.” ~ Thomas Jefferson, 1813

Some of you may be aware that there is going to be a special election on September 14 to determine whether Gavin Newsom is recalled or if he will continue on as governor. Personally, I’d like to see the son of a bitch fed to the sharks; but that’s neither here nor there. Regardless of how I feel, I got my recall ballot guide in the mail yesterday and discovered something incredible – there are 45 people trying to get Newsom’s job! That, to me, is mind boggling. I can see a handful of people seeking the governorship, but never in my life would I have imagined that I’d see 45 people running for the same position.

That got me to thinking, as things like this are apt to do, and the first thought that popped into my head is the quote from Thomas Jefferson that sits at the top of this essay. I could be wrong, but I think the very climate of politics is not one in which honesty can long survive.

There very well may be some who enter into politics with good intentions; but politics is a meat grinder, and it would take an incredibly strong, and moral person, to come out of it with their integrity intact. I also believe that the longer one stays in politics, the more corrupted they become by the experience, and if they were corrupt before going into politics, they only become more so when they are given a taste of what power feels like. It’s as Lord Acton said: Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I don’t normally insert images into the middle of my essays, but in this instance, I think it best that I do. This, is a photo of an iceberg that shows how much of the iceberg you do not see; because it is submerged underwater.

What we see of government is what they allow us to see; what they allow the cameras to capture for us – and they call it news. We see the partisan squabbling, the little snippets here and there regarding certain pieces of legislation, or the actions of the current president. If people are truly interested, they can tune into the mind-numbing broadcasts from Congress found on CSPAN. Yet that is only the surface; it does not show the lobbyists, the backroom deals, the committee hearings; the real meat and potatoes of how our government works. We see the public face of government; we do not see how corruption has eaten away at its soul!

These people seeking office will always smile for the cameras, tell you that they have your best interests in mind when seeking office. Do you think they’re going to come out and publicly say they are going to screw you over; deprive you of more of your money; more of your rights and liberty? Who would vote for them if they said that? They have to lie if they want to get you to vote for them; it is what they do after they get elected that determines whether or not you have been deceived. I think that is the singular most fatal flaw in our system today; the fact that people vote for others to represent them, then once these people get elected, they go back to their lives; believing that their rights and liberty are in good hands.

I may be jaded and cynical, but I believe the art of politics is not the art of the deal, as some people say. I believe the art of politics is the quest to become the most convincing liar. If you can lie better than others; get more people to believe your lies, then your career in politics is secure. I believe that those seeking a career in politics can only succeed when they convince more people to believe their lies than they do the lies of all the other pathological liars seeking the same position.

We all lie to a certain extent. Sometimes they are little white lies and sometimes they’re whoppers; but we all lie, and you’re a liar if you say you don’t. What most of us don’t do, however, is lie to gain power and control over our fellow human beings; such as those seeking office do. Whenever you have a system in place that gives people power over others, it always tends to draw in those who are most susceptible to be corrupted by the power they seek. These systems may not start off that way, but they always end up that way; as is the case with our systems of government today; which were supposed to secure the rights and liberty of the governed, but have become instruments of tyranny and oppression.

It is because man believed in a lie that we lost our innocence and were cast out of the Garden of Eden. Eve fell for the lies told to her by the serpent, who is the devil, (See Revelation 20:2) that she ate from the forbidden tree; learning to distinguish between good and evil. Prior to that, man was innocent, or perhaps ignorant might be a better choice of words. After that, however, mankind was born with the ability to distinguish between good and evil; although it appears that it is a skill that is not exercised as much as it should be; for we still support a system of government that has proven itself to be, if not evil, then at least corrupt.

In the Book of John we read: Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. If lying is a sin, and if God cannot abide sin, then those who lie cannot be of God; they must be of the Father of all Lies – Lucifer.

Now as I said, we all lie, but it is the responsibility of each of us, to try not to, and more importantly, to use our faculties to determine when we are being lied to. In Proverbs 12 we read: Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight. Therefore, if you lie, or if you repeat a lie because you are too lazy to seek out the truth, do you think your words are in accordance to the Lord’s will?

For a lie to be effective, it must first be believable. The best liars are those who can convince you that they speak the truth. Yet we are given a precious gift, the ability to ask the Holy Spirit to lead us in all things; to discern the truth; distinguish it from a lie. However, to do so, we must place our faith in Christ, not in men. In John 16:3 Jesus tells his disciples: Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

For this Spirit of truth to come into your lives, you must first open your hearts so that it may enter; and that cannot happen if you place your trust in princes, in men…in liars. In Matthew 7:7 we are told: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. All we have to do is to open our hearts to Christ and ask that we be shown the truth, and the truth will reveal itself.

In Matthew 13:15 Christ might as well have been speaking to the people living today when he said: For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

We look to liars and those lustful of power to solve all our problems, when the answer to our problems can be found by obeying the teachings found in the Bible. In 2 Thessalonians, Chapter 2 we read: And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (Verses 10-12)

God gave us our minds, and the gift of the Spirit of Truth, so that we can tell when we are being lied to, and when we are hearing the truth. If we do not use those gifts, that’s on us; and we’ll all be held accountable for it in the end.

I know this has taken a more religious tone than most of my other essays, but I believe with all my heart that we are not fighting a temporal war; a war between political parties or systems of government; we are fighting a spiritual war between good and evil; and just as the Bible predicts, evil will become increasingly dominant as we approach the end times. However, it will be those who remain faithful, those who remain truthful, that will be rewarded in the end; and that’s the best we can hope for now; as messed up as things are today.

A very long time ago, Thomas Jefferson took for his personal motto, the phrase: Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God. Not only that, in a letter to Abigail Adams, Jefferson also wrote: The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all.

When we submit to those in power, simply because they are in power, without regards to whether or not they are justified in doing what they do, we are not living up to the duty we owe those who fought for our rights and liberty during the Revolution; some of whom paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we could be born into a country were liberty was enjoyed by all.

If you seek to use the power of your vote to elect people, who will in turn, use their power to deprive others of their rights, their liberty, their property, (income), then you are not worthy of the trust bestowed upon you, and as John Adams said: Posterity! you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it. Adams was speaking not only to those who would immediately follow, but to all who might one day call themselves Americans. It is our duty to stand up for our rights and liberty; after all, the Declaration of Independence tells us they are the gift of our Creator.

Thomas Jefferson also said: God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure if we have removed their only firm basis: a conviction in the minds of men that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever. We may not yet be feeling his wrath, but I believe we are certainly feeling the effects of his having withdrawn his protection and blessings; all because we do not seek out the truth, and we place our trust in deceitful men/women to rule over us.

This leads me to my final point, and it is something I don’t know if people have given much thought to. As we all know, they are pushing hard to get everyone vaccinated; with roughly 60% of the people having take both injections. I’d like to ask them, and those considering taking the JAB, a question: Do you know what you are doing?

In the very first book of the Bible, Genesis, we read: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. If our DNA is our blueprint; that which makes us who we are, then that DNA is based upon the image of our Creator. I don’t think people realize what this JAB is doing to them; to their DNA.

What this mRNA vaccine does is it splices itself into our DNA so that our bodies produce the Covid virus within our bodies so that our immune system can build up antibodies to it; at least that is how I understand it to work. Think about this though, if you are splicing something into your DNA, you are ALTERING your DNA.

Viruses may not be healthy, but they are naturally occurring, and our bodies are designed with an immune system that has the ability to fight them off; if we would but treat them right by eating healthy and exercising them. The only way to exercise them is by exposing them to substances that force them into action; and as fearful of germs as we have become, our immune systems have grown weak; meaning we get sicker a lot more often than our ancestors did.

This experimental vaccine is designed not to expose us to a naturally occurring virus, it is something that alters our DNA…PERMANENTLY. This alteration can, and will be passed on to those yet unborn. Therefore, if we are created in God’s image, are we still in his image after our DNA has been altered by the vaccine? The question you must asks is; if we are no longer in God’s image, whose image have we taken?

    Hello Neal,

Good to hear from you. As usual your words flow freely.

Not sure I would be so concerned about the purity of our DNA.

We actually started mucking that up as soon as we gained the abilities to travel and trade. The original code is probably no longer discernable in anyone breathing among us. I do know that it is not perhaps so good for us if the likes of a Dr. Fauci is among those in primary control of the future mutation processes. That would seem to be every bit as risky as having Joe Biden as our president or Gavin as your governor. Besides, healthy happy mutants are probably more advantageous to the world population than our current stock of sick leftist commie wannbe’s … But, that is just my considered opinion.

I afterall, am just one of the few agitated patriotic freedom loving folks out here floating around in a sea of lunatics.

I was reminded recently of a quote from Winston Churchill, no doubt uttered in one of his moments of frustration dealing with Roosevelt.

You can always count on America to do the right thing, after they have exhausted all of the alternatives. So perhaps it is all gonna be okay.. provided our country survives long enough …

Keep the faith and your powder dry, Just in case.
