Several days ago – with the aid of this image from my very talented friend Louis Turner, I posted the following comment on Facebook: My friends – we each have our distinctive beliefs, but there are times that we must band together for the greater good. An invasion from our Southern border is going to affect each of us… and there are other issues that we may have to put aside for awhile. There is already enough hate and anger in this nation as it is, and as Sydney Greenstreet’s character, Mr. Peters in the 1940’s Warner Bros film, ‘The Mask of Dimitrios‘ stated, “There’s not enough kindness in the world.”
Following the image is the response from a friend and reader.
Gird up your loins and prepare for battle my friends…
I’ll see you at Sundown.
The good got lazy and the wicked were emboldened. The good fell asleep and thought that they had it made when they were only partially good. The wicked got wickeder, a lot of lies were told and tricks played on the naive and trusting and this has brought us to today. Because people forgot to stand up to evil and to pray. ~ Susan Pendell, October 25, 2018
