“There’s a world goin’ on Outside the world that I’m in” ~ Blackberry Smoke
I have spoken many times about how amazing the human brain is, but I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned how we often don’t realize what it is capable of, or how it is performing functions without our ever realizing that it is doing so. Even now, as I sit here typing, my brain is pulling data from multiple regions, then sending signals (kind of like e mails I suppose) along neural pathways to my fingers; which in turn type out what is going on inside my head. All this occurs almost instantaneously; my mind decides what it wants to say, then my fingers type it out; without me giving any thought to the process of how those thoughts get to my fingertips.
The same could be said about almost everything we do throughout our days; from tying our shoes in the morning to operating a motor vehicle; we do it without realizing the multitude of signals our brain is sending out to the various parts of our body. Yet there is one function that goes on inside our minds that, in my opinion, is of much more significance; the process by which we come to hold our worldview. For those of you who may not be sure what a worldview is, it is a comprehensive framework of beliefs, values, and mental models through which a person or society perceives, interprets, and responds to reality. One could say that it is our worldview that tells us what to believe; what is both true and real.
The amazing thing about this is that we never realize it is happening, but from the moment we are born our brain is flooded with data which it begins to process; some of it to be used to navigate through life, while some of it goes towards forming our worldview; how we perceive the world around us
It has been said that by the time we reach 13 years of age our worldviews are pretty firmly established in our minds, and that it takes something monumental, or catastrophic, before our minds consider revising them.
But what if the data a person uses to form their worldview is severely limited, or even flawed; would that not make their worldview limited or flawed as well? While I am not criticizing anyone this may resemble, what if a person grew up in a community so small that it was barely a blip on a map, and they never left that community to see what life is like outside of it? Do you think that person would have the same worldview that a person who grew up in the hustle and bustle of a big city?
What if two individuals who had never experienced life outside of the place they were born and raised were plucked out of their worlds and placed in a room together; do you think they would see eye to eye with each other when it came to what life was really like, or would their worldviews clash?
Are you aware that the Amish have this thing they call Rumpspringa; which means running around. You see, the Amish do not baptize a person until they have had the opportunity to experience what life is like outside an Amish community. They want that person to be baptized because they choose the Amish lifestyle over the lifestyle of those living in the outside world. While there are those who choose to live outside the Amish lifestyle, they form a small percentage; with 80%-90% of the teens choosing the Amish way of life over life in the outside world.
The point is, they are given the chance to see the world as it really is before they are asked to commit to the Amish way of life. The Amish worldview is not limited to what they’ve experienced growing up; they are given the chance to broaden their perspectives to see which way of life they will choose for the remainder of their life. What is important to take from this is that the Amish are not afraid of allowing their worldview to be challenged by life outside an Amish community; they allow people to experience life outside an Amish community, then choose which lifestyle they want to live. In other words, they are open minded enough to allow their people to experience things that conflict with the things they are taught.
I’m not saying any of this to imply that we should all give up our electronic devices and live an Amish lifestyle; I’m saying it because we tend to be so rigid in our beliefs that we close our minds to what reality might really be like outside the narrow parameters of our beliefs.
There is a whole lot of psychological mumbo jumbo that explains why some people are rigid and inflexible in their beliefs, while there are others who aren’t, and I won’t waste any of your time even attempting to explain any of it; partly because I don’t understand a lot of it myself. Of course, one could always Google it and do a bit of research into why that is so. What a novel concept that is; people doing their own research instead of relying upon the opinions of others to form their own!
You see this inflexibility in the political arena all the time; with those belonging to the two parties convinced that their worldview is superior to those who belong to the other party; that their vision for the future of this country leads to prosperity and happiness, while the vision held by the other party leads to disaster and suffering. I’ve said this numerous times before, but that is a prison that prevents those trapped inside of it from seeing things as they really are; and if you can’t see things as they really are then you will never arrive at a solution to the many problems we face.
If I had been that inflexible in my beliefs I would never have come to hold the worldview that I currently hold. My growth, or maybe you should call it evolution, came about as the result of me not being afraid to challenge my beliefs; my worldview.
While I’m not overly proud of this, for the first 20 some odd years of my life I was pretty apathetic when it came to what was going on in the world; my worldview was centered around getting drunk, listening to music, and getting laid. Then, for some inexplicable reason, a sense of awareness that something wasn’t right in the world began to awaken in me. This wasn’t some sudden epiphany, it was more of a gradual awakening; yet I could not deny that it was happening.
That is why the scene in The Matrix when Morpheus first meets Neo hits so close to home for me; when he tells Neo, “Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know, you can’t explain. But you feel it. You felt it your entire life. That there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. Like a splinter in your mind – driving you mad.”
Stage 1 of my evolution, what I sometimes refer to as my awakening, saw me transition from apathy to aligning myself behind the principles espoused by the Republican Party; believing that they had the proper vision for the future of this country. Again, this is not something I’m overly proud of, but my next transition would not occur for another 20 years; when I finally became disillusioned with the repeated failure of the Republican Party to defend the principles they claimed to support.
It was at this point in my life that things began to speed up considerably. When I lost faith in the Republican Party, I transitioned into supporting Independents; taking a more Libertarian stance in my worldview.
That was Stage 2, and it only lasted a brief while; coming to an end when the Tea Party movement either sold out to, or was hijacked by, the Republican Party.
Stage 3 occurred as I began to learn more about our system of government; both what the Constitution actually says, and the process by which it came to become the supreme law of the land. What led to this transition was the realization that no system of government that allowed anyone, either Democrat or Republican, to enact laws I found repugnant was worthy of my support and admiration.
Stage 4 of my evolution was, looking back upon it, almost inevitable; the realization that there is a lot more going on in the world around us than what political parties, or systems of government, are doing; what they are responsible for. It was at this point that I began to give a lot of thought to the concept of good vs evil; that there may be forces at work in the world that most people are not willing to give much thought to; for to do so would shatter their illusions and destroy their worldviews.
Keep in mind that none of this would have happened had I been as rigid and inflexible in my beliefs as so many others seem to be. It was only because I placed the pursuit of knowledge and truth above my beliefs that I was able to evolve; grow. It is because of this growth, this evolution, that I now believe that what is wrong in this country cannot be fixed by swapping out career politicians every so often, or by changing from one form of earthly governance to another.
It is the rigidity of people’s beliefs, their unwillingness to consider beliefs that differ from their own, that prevents people from realizing that there is more than what meets the eye going on in the world around them. While I am not going to go into a lengthy discussion of this, the debate between those who believe the world is flat versus those who believe it is a spinning ball, hurtling through space at over a million miles per hour, is a perfect example of that inflexibility; that unwillingness to consider beliefs that conflict with their own.
Unless one, and this includes me, has gone out into space and viewed the earth from thousands of miles away, they cannot say for sure what shape the earth is; they are basing their opinions upon what they’ve been taught/told, or the evidence presented that supports one of the two beliefs. One could say that works both ways; flat-earthers are just as guilty of that as globe earthers. True, but there is a difference between the two camps. You see, flat earthers grew up being taught/told the same thing globe earthers were; that the earth is a ball that rotates every 24 hours, while orbiting the sun at 67,000 miles per hour, while orbiting the Milky Way at 470,000 miles per hour, while hurtling through the universe at over a million miles per hour. That was the dogma of globe earth theology that we were all taught since birth. What makes flat earthers different is the fact that we were not so close minded that we refused to consider alternative theories; that what we had been taught to believe might, in fact, be untrue.
I said I wasn’t going to go into a discussion of the flat earth model, and I’m not; I’m only using it as an example to show how unwilling some people are to put their beliefs to the test by challenging them with facts that go against those beliefs. Could it be that they fear putting their beliefs to the test because they also fear being proven that they are the ones who are actually crazy for believing something that the facts prove to be untrue? I don’t honestly know; but I do know that there is a whole lot more going on in the world than what people are consciously aware of; or that they are willing to even consider.
That is why I put those lyrics from that Blackberry Smoke song at the very top of this essay; there is a whole lot more going on than people are aware of. Whether people want to believe this or not, there are forces at work in the world that exist in a realm, or a plane of existence, that we are unable to see; yet they exert a great deal of influence upon the things that occur in our realm.
People are so distracted by the things they can see that they do not spend any time thinking about the things they cannot see; things that affect them in their day-to-day lives. That is one of the tactics evil uses; it keeps people distracted by bombarding them with so many other things that they do not have time to focus upon anything other than the things that they can see with their own two eyes; and with the advent of AI technology we cannot be sure that everything we are seeing is real.
You sometimes hear people ask why God allows all this evil to exist, why doesn’t He put an end to it? I that is the wrong question to be asking. Instead, we should be asking; If God is good, then what is the cause of all this evil? God does not want the world to be filled with evil, He wants it to be filled with good. However, for the world to be filled with good we must obey His will and do what He asks of us. The Bible tells us flat out that, after the Creation was complete, God looked down upon what He had created and declared it to be very good. Would that not, therefore, mean that there was no evil in the world at that moment in time; that evil was not something God created?
Evil exists because God gave His creations (us) freewill; the ability to choose between obeying His will, or following our own desires. Evil exists because we choose not to obey Him and do as He asks of us. God could easily end evil in the world, but to do so He would have to strip us of our freewill. If God did that, then our obedience to His will would not be a choice, it would not happen because we love Him; it would happen because we had no choice in the matter. God loves us, and He wants us to love him in return, but we have to choose to do so. Therefore, evil exists not because God allows it, it exists because we make the wrong choices.
Yet, while it is we who make the choice to do that which does not please God, there are forces at work, forces that exist in a realm, or plane of existence that we cannot see, that are constantly seeking to ensure that we obey their will, not the will of God. If you refuse to accept that these beings exist, and how extensively their influence is on display in the world around you, then you will never truly understand why there is so much evil in the world. If one does not know who, or what, their enemy is, then how can they be expected to defeat that enemy? That is why I do not concern myself with whether a Republican or a Democrat sits in the Oval Office; I recognize that the system itself is evil; and to take a line from Forrest Gump and twist it around a bit, “Evil is as evil does.” Participating in choosing which party holds the reigns of power in a system that is evil is participating in evil; and I choose to have nothing to do with it.
And therein lies the problem; those on the right believe that their party is good and those on the left are evil. Those on the left believe that their party is good and the party that leans to the right is evil. Both sides are going through life with one eye close; blind to the fact that those they elect are as evil and corrupt as those they seek to prevent from gaining power over a system that, in and of itself, is evil.
I’ve had people say that our system is not evil, that it was perverted by men and could be restored to it’s original goodness if we just adhered to what the Constitution says. I say this in rebuttal to that: Any system that does not recognize God as the supreme authority (lawmaker) over mankind is evil by nature. Any system that enacts laws that violate God’s commandments is evil in nature. Any system that refuses to enact laws that uphold God’s moral law is evil in nature. I defy anyone to rebuke that!
Even those who claim that there should be a wall of separation between church and state are evil; for are they not implying that mankind is capable of establishing a system of government, or enacting laws, that are superior to (better than) the laws God has given us? If we would obey God’s laws, then government would not be necessary. James Madison said so himself in Federalist 51, “If men were angels no government would be necessary.”
I don’t know if this is true or not, but I’ve heard that these forces of evil, or their minions here on earth, believe that they can avoid the karma of their evil deeds if they tell us about the evil that they do; even if we do not recognize it when we see it.
The film, The Matrix provides us with one such warning. Towards the beginning of the movie there is a scene where Neo is in a holding cell with 3 agents of The Matrix. Agent Smith is thumbing through Neo’s file, and on one page we get a momentary glimpse of Neo’s passport. It is so brief we barely pay any attention to it, but if you freeze that frame on your dvd player you will see that the expiration date on Neo’s passport is September 11, 2001.
You have to remember, The Matrix hit theaters in 1999; two years before the events of 9/11. Coincidence?
I stopped believing in coincidences once my eyes were opened and I began to see them all over the place.
Yet there will be those who call that a coincidence, or will tell you that the image passes by so quickly that it could hardly be considered a warning. If you are among those who believe that, I suggest you do a bit of research on subliminal messages.
But that’s just one instance, surely there are more; at least if I am going to convince you that they are not coincidental. How about the movie Dr. Sleep, based upon the Stephen King novel of the same name? The basic plot of that movie is that there are individuals who have the ability to SHINE; which is an umbrella term for those with psychic abilities, and that there is a group of psychic vampires called the True Knot that feeds off STEAM; a byproduct of fear induced into children who SHINE. This allows them to live forever; assuming they don’t run out of STEAM.
The entire plot of that movie is eerily similar to the Adenochrome Conspiracy Theory. For those of you who may not have heard of that particular conspiracy theory, it promotes the belief that a secret cabal of global, political, and Hollywood elites abducts and tortures young children to extract a chemical compound called adenochrome. They use this chemical as a life prolonging substance, or as a mind altering drug.
Of course, the media does not talk about this. Why would they when the higher ups in the media are probably part of the cabal that engages in it? The public, for the most part anyway, rejects the notion that people could be that evil, or that such practices even exist. That is pretty easy to understand, seeing as how over 60% of the public accepts as normal the murder of unborn babies, or how they refuse to accept that the names of those they voted for may be found in the Epstein files.
I could go on and provide other examples of how evil is on display, and how people refuse to see it for what it is, but why bother when people do not have a discerning eye; the ability to recognize evil for what it is when it is staring them in the face.
I don’t have all the answers, nor do I see the entire picture. However, I’ve seen enough to know that, unless people wake up to the evil that surrounds them, then they are in for a world of hurt when they are made to choose between good and evil, with the price of that decision being life or death. And that leads us to the last thing I wish to discuss; The Noahide Laws.
For those of you who may not have heard about The Noahide Laws, they are a set of universal moral and ethical imperatives in Judaism that are, or would be if implemented on a global scale, binding upon all humanity. There are 7 of these Noahide Laws that, at first glance, seem innocuous, until you consider that are, in no way, Christian; the are based upon the beliefs of those who practice Rabbinic Judaism.
So, what’s the big deal about that? The big deal is that Rabbinic Judaism denies/rejects the belief that Christ was the Messiah; that’s the big deal. So what you say. Well, according to Rabbinic Judaism, believing that Christ was the Messiah is considered idolatry; which is punishable by death (beheading). The 7th Noahide Law would establish a Rabbinic Court of Justice (a global Sanhedrin) to make sure the other 6 Noahide Laws were being adhered to. So essentially, all the world would fall under Rabbinic Judaism if these Noahide Laws are ever implemented on a global scale; and there just happens to be a council of members from 20 some odd nations, including the United States, that are scheduled to meet in Jerusalem next month; with the goal of implementing the Noahide Laws on a global scale.
If that happens, then anyone who does not denounce Christ as the Messiah will be found guilty of idolatry under the Rabbinic Jewish belief that He was not the son of God. If they refuse to denounce Christ, the penalty is beheading. Christ stated, “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:33)
I wonder, how many will refuse to renounce their belief that Jesus was the Messiah; just to spare their life? If they do, they may spare it now, but they will be rejected by Christ when it comes to deciding whether or not they be allowed to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. So choose wisely if that time comes. The sad thing is, with all the bad choices people make now, I fear they will just add one more to the list when that time comes; and I believe that it will come…eventually.
Of course, this is all nothing but conspiracy theory, right; none of this stuff is real. And that is the greatest weapon of the forces of darkness; the unwillingness of people to accept that evil of that magnitude exists. Well, people will be held accountable for that as well; especially when there were those who sounded the warning bells, but they refused to heed them.
I would suggest that people read Ezekiel 33, particularly verses 4 & 5, which state, “Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.”
Of course, if what happens to your soul is of no concern to you, then by all means, ignore the warnings. Those of us who tried to warn people will be free of guilt for what happens to your soul when you are asked to explain why you did not heed the warnings.
And that’s all I have to say for today. Have a blessed day…
