I’ve been waffling about continuing my writing. I quit writing several months ago because I saw the futility in opening minds. I realized that indoctrination and programming were too deeply ingrained, moving the improbability marker to 9.8 out of 10, meaning that any chance of success was extremely low. But being an optimist… you know the rest.
My only hope is that somewhere in the 330 million people in America, or nearly eight billion people in the world, there may be a few willing to consider a disparate opinion, or diverse point of view.
Maybe I could reach a few curious minds.
Or am I deluded?
Am I alone, facing this daunting task and dilemma?
I feel like I’m pissing on a forest fire, hoping to put it out, or into the ocean expecting an appreciable rise in the level.
“In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.” ~ Abraham Maslow
It’s painfully obvious where America stands…
We’ve traded our liberty for security time, and time, again. Now we have national security theater, plausible deniability, and politically weaponized government branches branding parents as ‘domestic terrorists’ and goaded protestors as ‘insurrectionists.’ We expect and accept a steady stream of lies from politicians and live in a divided republic on the verge of collapse. We’re poised on the brink of WWIII expecting the people that brought us here to regain consciousness and take steps to sue for peace rather than war.
Who’s deluded???
I recently shared some of my thoughts with a friend, and I was promptly told that I was totally wrong. He explained that my opinion is completely flawed based on the difference in the news feeds I read and the fact that the information in California is correct and what I receive in Arizona is categorically inaccurate. His statement was… “No, No, No, No, No! You don’t realize that what you think and believe is based on the fake news you get in Arizona, and it’s all, all, all wrong. The news we get in California is correct and true… I know, because I checked it with other sources like Breitbart, Washington Post, and the New York Times; He said…”
My dogmatic friend started me thinking about the dichotomy of it all, and I began considering my efforts from a unique and peculiar perspective.
My enthusiasm is waning… again.
Why bother?
* An opinion is a statement that expresses a feeling, an attitude, a value judgment, or a belief. It is a statement that is neither true nor false; or it may feel true for some, but false for others. Here we are then… there is no middle ground, no compromise, no neutral territory. One and only one opinion – obviously, the Left one… The Right is wrong…
So, my acerbic friends ‘system of principles and tenets concerning faith, morals, behavior, and personal beliefs’ tell him, I’m wrong. So be it.
Assertions of this order cause me to reconsider my position. I rethink and reassess my viewpoint, maybe I’m wrong, I can adjust it as I deem appropriate, but only after investigating my original position; am I either willing to adjust and adapt or ‘dig in my heels’ unyieldingly. I am NOT changing my opinion on these points. My stance, as I stated to my friend is, “Then…We need to agree to disagree, and not open these points for discussion, ever again.”
Interestingly, the number of these contentious points increases with our every conversation. We are moving apart, together.
Now I wonder, be it he, or me?
This, my friends, is part of critical thinking; “the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form or change a judgement or that opinion.”
There’s a problem with any intransigence; it ignores the possibility that you may be wrong in your assessments or position; it eliminates compromise or negotiated agreement. Curiously, the investigation can prove the validity of your premise.
“It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.” ~ Aristotle
This morning, I was speaking with the gentleman that maintains my pool. He had a dayworker with him; his helper is an invader (undocumented immigrant) from Honduras. We talked about the massive number of people from villages and towns that come to America from all over South and Central America, specifically.
I asked how they enlist and coordinate everyone and start their migration journey.
How do they coordinate this?
These are his exact words… “They advertise it. They tell everyone when and where to meet and then guide the groups to assigned assembly points. From there it’s just a long, long, long walk. We leave everything behind because of what they promise to ‘give’ everyone when we arrive in America.”
I didn’t pursue the question. He had work to do.
He came to Arizona to support his family, a wife, daughter, and twin boys; in hopes of becoming a citizen and to bring his family here eventually.
Today’s labor pays him what he made in a month in Honduras.
Yes, he said, it was worth the trip to help his family.
In my mind, his solution to the dilemma was wrong to me because it’s illegal and ethically the incorrect way to become an American. I’ve done things that compromise my ethics for the sake of my family; but never illegal. I am NOT this man’s judge, nor do I wish to be, but when dire times require drastic measures; which of you would make a different decision – be honest…
I AM NOT defending this man or his actions.
I AM trying to put this into context.
Is this his fault, or ours…
Who actually created and reinforces the circumstances, creating the mass invasion?
Who cancelled the laws protecting our republic from invading migrants?
Who refuses to take corrective actions to stem this increasing tide?
Who continually lies about their ability to take these corrective actions?
Who is responsible for facilitating this illegal importation of people?
Who refuses to accept culpability?
We Are!
“We have met the enemy, and he is us…” ~ Walt Kelly
Since we hire the people that caused this disaster, and we allow them to continue, we are responsible for this travesty! As our employees, we are responsible for them and for their actions. If you recall, we the people, elect our representatives in this constitutional republic, so they are our employees since our taxes pay their salaries. They work for us. By allowing this invasion to continue, they are in breach of contract, violating our constitution, and their oath of office. I won’t belabor this by quoting the oath – let’s just say that every one of them that does nothing to stop this violation of our sovereignty is guilty, should be removed from office, and summarily punished!
They are guilty of dereliction of duty and violating a sacred oath.
Where is the public outrage?
Or… don’t you care that they will turn these laws against us…
You don’t think so???
What did our leadership do to those who visited the Capital on January 6th?
There is sufficient evidence to indict and prosecute several Congressional members and their staff.
What about the Weaponized Governmental Departments and their complicity to this spectacle?
Our government – the people we trust to uphold our Constitution, violate it every day and we allow it; we purposefully disregard it – ignore it.
A crumbling republic, is the return on our investment…
Again… Where is the public outrage?
Our continued use of illegal drugs and our reticence to assume responsibility for using these substances and immoral services, is irresponsible, and reprehensible. How can we condemn someone for fulfilling the needs we create, and for servicing our desires? If there is a need or desire, someone will fill it. That’s it, in a nutshell.
The cCrtels are meeting our demand, not only for illegal drugs, but for cheap labor, sex slaves, and pedophilia. Let’s not disregard the millions of potential voters poised to influence elections and the balance of state’s power by adding millions of people to the census.
There’s a hostile paramilitary foreign army infiltrating our country.
Guess what their plan is…
Who willingly, eagerly opened the door for them?
Each of these demands, desires, or mistakes, is an entire article of its own, but the demand for these and other illegally trafficked items, substances, and the responsible people is within our control.
Eliminating the demand will eliminate the supply.
Consider the buggy whip.
When horse-drawn carriages were the primary means of transportation, buggy whips were a necessity, but as the automobile became popular, the need for buggy whips dissipated because no one needed or wanted them. It’s the same with our need for unlawful substances and the immorality we demand and support.
As long as Americans condone the perversions of child sex, the sex-slave trade, cheap labor, and tipping the balance of partisan political power, we will continue importing people for those purposes, and the cartels will be our willing and delighted vendor.
Where do they find their cargo?
The cartels go to destitute underdeveloped third-world countries. They advertise. They lie and mislead these desperate people, tricking them into indentured servitude, like most unscrupulous businesses and governments – including ours. When the bargain is struck for transport, the people become chattel – the property of the cartel; to be sold to the highest bidder or used as mules – to transport illegal substances or act as chaperones of unaccompanied children bound for who knows what, when delivered to their handlers in America.
Oh yes… Their handlers in America, are mostly Americans.
Did you know that somewhere between the Mexican border and America, according to Nationalist Propaganda Radio (NPR), our government has misplaced over 85,000 unaccompanied children between 2021 and 2022… 750,000 children have been placed with sponsors since 2012, and officials release 2.3 million children into the US between 2021 and 2023 – 72% of minors are traveling alone.
Advertised???
ADVERTISED?????????
Yes, naive, and oblivious Americans…
The Mexican Drug Cartels are advertising.
It’s BUSINESS! Of course they advertise.
How do you imagine they ‘grow’ their business?
Just like we do in America – they Advertise…
There are wild speculations about cartel revenues ranging from a few hundred million dollars to $500 billion for human trafficking. Most sources agree that cartel smuggling revenue from 2021 to the present, is about $13 billion per year – Close to $40 billion so far, and the invasion continues unabated with the added support of hostile foreign governments.
Drug smuggling is unbelievably lucrative – $200 billion to $750 billion annually. Would you trust a drug dealer to tell the truth?
Closing the border will only slow the supply, but never stop it completely. That was the passe’ solution, to slow but not stop the flow. There is way too much money being made trafficking and supplying the deviant needs of Americans. Everyone involved makes money – how does a high-level government official live a lavish lifestyle on $250K annual salary?
To completely halt the flow, we need to put an end to the demand.
When I read about the rising number of deaths caused by illegal substance use, I was appalled, but it wasn’t my decision to use that illegal substance. I have feelings for the families and loved ones, but using these dangerous and addictive substances is a personal choice. No one forced them into it – with very few exceptions, of course.
Jumping out of a perfectly functional and operating aircraft is exhilarating, but extremely dangerous. I speak from personal experience. Qualifying for flight status required me to learn what to do in an emergency situation, should the need arise. Pucker factor ninety-nine. If there had been a lump of coal in my sphincter, I would have shit a diamond.
I cannot comprehend activities like base-jumping, sport parachute jumping, or running with the bulls.
I hear that these are an enormous adrenalin rush.
I understand that it’s much like the rush a narcotic user gets from that first hit.
This adrenal RUSH is where the addiction arises… and takes hold. It’s like that big score on a bet in Las Vegas or on the betting pool at work. It’s a rush to be sure but becomes uncontrollable and irresistible for some.
The caveat is… ”The House Always Wins!!!”
The house in these examples, is the substance or activity or the cartel… that draws you in.
Now you’re hooked.
America is addicted!
Addicted to pornography, pedophilia, prostitution, drugs, cheap labor, quick riches, lotteries, power-parlays, and more things than I care to list, and the only way to eliminate their importation and the underground businesses that supply them is to eliminate the demand; and we can’t or won’t do it. There’s too much profit in it.
Why haven’t we cured cancer?
It’s all about the profit in keeping people on Big Pharma’s and the Medical Industrial Complex’s teat.
The solution is ours, not the governments.
They make too much money from these activities to want to stop them. As long as they get paid, they don’t care.
It’s their passive income…
Disclaimer:
There are a few honest public servants, but the other 99% give them a bad name by association. They fight the good fight but lose to the majority like those of us that continue to write and broadcast articles like this, to make you aware of what you can’t, don’t, or won’t see. We hope to open your eyes and minds, but it seems to be a losing battle. We are few in number and the masses are huge; distracted by the Corporate Media Complex and the Partisan Politicians hypocrisy, deception, and pretense.
I frequently find myself asking… “Why Bother…“

~ The Author ~
Charles R. Dickens was born in 1951, is a veteran of the Vietnam war, for which he volunteered, and the great-great grandson of the noted author, whose name he shares.
He is a fiercely proud American, who still believes this is the greatest country on the planet, with which we’ve lost control and certainly our direction. He grew up in moderate financial surrounding; we’re not rich by any stretch, but didn’t go hungry – his incredibly hard working father saw to that. As most from that era, he learned about life from his father, whose story would take too long to tell, other than to say that, he is also a fiercely proud American; a WWII and Korean war, veteran Marine.
Charlie was educated in the parochial system which, demanded that you actually learn something, and have capability to retain it before you advance. He attended several universities in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree, and chased the goose further to a master’s, and has retained some very definite ideas about education in this country.
In addition, Charlie is a retired blues guitar and vocalist – a musician. This was his therapy career. Nothing brings him as much joy as playing music, and he wishes that he could make a living at it… but alas… life goes on!
I’ve been reading you for a few years, almost think sometimes that you’ve been reading my mail, even have you as one of the sites that come up when I fire up my browser every day and have even commented a couple of times. I think you are always right over the target, but you are “only making the band laugh” (That’s an obscure reference from the very late Lenny Bruce describing someone who was way too hip for the audience.) All I can offer as far as hanging it up is that I no longer talk to the “Enemies Domestic” as it’s as productive as trying to teach a pig to sing and the only time I will communicate with them ever again is over a barricade.
On the chance that it might be cathartic for you, I’d encourage you to continue unless you have something you consider to be more productive to do. On another note I believe we are contemporaries as I was playing in a Blues/Rock band in Chicago in the early-mid ’60s until Uncle Sugar changed my career path and thought I really needed to be helping him out in the South East Asian War Games, ’67-’69, for which I also volunteered.
On the other hand, as the Latinlish expression goes; “Non bastardi corborundum” (Don’t let the bastards grind you down).
Welcome home, brother!
It’s hard to express how grateful I am for your kind words.
Thank you with all my heart.
I read everything that you post and try to pass it along to those who will listen. “In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.” ~ Abraham Maslow
