July, 8, 2002: Phoenix, AZ – The 226th anniversary of the birth of our Republic has passed with minimal incident (unless you want to count some rag-head who was p.o.’d in Los Angeles for as yet unknown reasons – although livin’ in LA is enough to piss anyone off). This ‘holiday’ has become a shadow of its former self – only beer, bar-b-que, a few scattered parades and media networks broadcasting from Boston and DC, with little understanding of the meaning of independence – other than the freedom to make a buck. Do we put aside this 4th of July nonsense for another year only to be reawakened with a false sense of patriotic pride when another four-day weekend comes upon us? Or do we remember and LIVE the words of the Founding Fathers each day? For if we don’t take heed and become more aware of the devestation being plied upon this land by those who are supposed to be our representative voices across the nation – then the next Independence Day may never arrive – unless we Wake the F*%# up!
When the Federal Observer was envisioned just over a year ago, it was with many purposes in mind, not the least of which, was to call attention to the lies and deceipt being perpetrated upon the Sheople of AmeriKa. Nearly one year later, and over 3,000 articles, news reports and columns in our archives, we continue to grow as a force to be reckoned with.
In my last column, I issued some fairly hard questions to readers and supporters of 2nd Amendment issues. The basis of the column chastised the “Crowd’ for seeming to be relatively unaware of other issues swirling around their heads, while they were arming for this past weekend’s annual Beer-can Drain and Plinking Extravaganza. Well, hot-damn – I’m proud to say that we’ve found a few die-hard Americans who understand what’s going on. They have been found reading Angel Shamaya’s Keep and Bear Arms daily on-line publication. Read it for yourself and maybe – just maybe – you’ll find some folks with like minds.
And now the harshest truths and realities have yet to come. And so we begin…
We now begin to understand why we have been dismissed by the John Birch Society (JBS). For many years, I have been a supporter (in deed – not money) of this once austere organization – even to the point of supporting their Get US Out NOW! campaign (to get the united States out of the United Nations – a program, which purportedly the JBS began, in one form or another in 1967). the Federal Observer has done its utmost to raise awareness of the JBS and its publication, The New American for as long as we have been publishing on-line, in addition to our seven years on the air on Perspectives on America. By the way, how many years does it take beyond 35 to get your point across – or do you want to?
Each time that we would share an article or essay with our audience or readership, we would always reference the JBS, their publication and their writers, with hypertext links when possible. After all – our goals were one and the same – weren’t they? Weren’t each of us fighting the Communist, Socialist, Fascist, New World Order? Weren’t we both against the International gun-grab, land-grabs, the United Nations, socialized medicine and more? Was Kettle Moraine, Ltd. (our parent company) or the Federal Observer attempting to financially profit from the work of this august organization?
The answer to each of the questions posed above – is NO!
On June 19th of this year, I received a rather firm email from the publishers of The New American, in effect demanding that I cease posting their articles and using the terminology, Get US Out! of the United Nations. I’ll not spend a lot of time telling you how this shocked me, given the fact that I thought that we were on the same side. Apparently not! All of this seems to have come about, due to a group of dedicated (read: grassroots) JBS members in Southern Californikate, who have been daily readers of the Federal Observer, and were duly impressed enough to contact the JBS and inform them of our support of the Society. A degree of excitement (which soon turned to excrement) was buzzing through the circles of these fine – but uninformed people. They really thought that the JBS was going to support the message of the Federal Observer. Well, it sounded good at the time. Too many of them are still brainwashed. Not me! Not anymore! This is Just Bull Shit! I was warned many years ago by such an august broadcaster as Jackie Patru – but I wasn’t listening.
When at first I received the email, I frankly did not care enough to let it bother me, until my associate editor passed along the email with his own comments to the group of JBS individuals, who he had been working with. Then some interesting comments began to flow back in – including a warning to ignore Alan Stang, one time confidant to Robert Welch. I was told that Stang was the enemy and that he had had a falling out with Welch over a number of issues. That’s when the hair stood up on the back of my neck – something was rotten in the city of Appleton (home of the John Birch Society).
And so the results of my curiosity begins to run on the Federal Observer this week. Each of the several columns has been very well researched and documented. Heed the warnings. Take some time, download if you wish – but read – please read – not for my sake – but for your own and that of your familiy. You’ve been sold down the river, without the proverbial paddle – and if you think that the JBS is the only group to have perpetrated this morale crime – THINK AGAIN! Understand, we do not run this series of columns because of a stupid little email – we run these investigative essays in spite of it.
Wake the F*%# up AmeriKa – for I am now convinced that every Political Activist Group and Lobby Group in America – left or right, conservative or liberal, RepublicRAT or DemoGOGUE – has sold this country out. Call ’em out – the Gun Lobby, the Greens, Cancer, Heart Disease and other health related lobbies. Doesn’t matter what or who they represent – They don’t represent you and I! Each of them is taking home nice, big, fat paychecks every week – and THAT is all they are lobbying for. What for? Power? Greed? Money? (They sure suck a lot of money from their grass-roots members.) – or just a ticket to Hell!
I, Jeffrey Bennett and the Federal Observer still stand for the purposes, which we outlined earlier in this posting. What does the John Birch Society stand for?
You make the decision – but start asking questions, for as Tex Earnhardt of Arizona says – “This ain’t No Bull!”
Without Apology I am,
