The sniper news/gun-grab talk continues. What’s new?
October 19, 2002 ~ The opinions and commentary are still coming in from every corner of our debauched society, and while The Federal Observer continues it’s coverage of the debate from both sides of the aisle – we find that other stories of importance are being ignored – and depending on the length of this column – we may be choose to ignore them as well.
But first – to the topic of gun-control: A column (once published on the now-defunct) Armed Females of America web-site was indicative of just how hot the subjects of gun-ownership, safety of our families and the “…right to keep and bear arms…” has become once again.
From both sides we see an anger arising – an inability to get our points across without getting p.o.’d at our adversaries. Each is guilty of the infringement of the rights of ‘freedom of speech’ of the other. Name calling, accusations and attacking each other personally – just doesn’t cut it. I have personally known Carma Lewis, National Director for Armed Females of America for some years and am aware of her dedication to our mutual cause. I do not know the attorney who has chosen to attack her in the vile method, which he has chosen. And yet as an outsider to the events known as email – I can only comment on what I have read – as written by him and others.
First of all – we are playing a deadly ‘numbers game’ in America today. Polls are number based. Census’s are based upon the numbers of ethnicity, poverty, wealth, male, female citizens, how many children in the family, etc. We have a government, who has chosen (with our permission – due to lack of the responsibility of protest) to attempt intrusions into our (gun-owning) lives through our doctors and the teachers in the Public ‘Fool” system. I expect that the U.S. Census will incorporate these questions into their questionnaire (Demanndaire‘) the next time around. We are barraged daily with statistics (numbers) of those killed (by accident or murder) with guns, cars, baseball bats and a sundry of other diabolical devices. We’re never told how many deaths (murders) are committed by the medical ‘profession’ due to negligence or malpractice – the American people just wouldn’t go to their doctors any longer – thereby causing the economic collapse of a nation. Oh, but don’t worry about these things – it’ll only hurt for a little while – ’til you’re broke or dead. (and Attorney’s will be lining their pockets along the way defending murderers of all types)
One of the things that bothered me about the comments from Michael Bannerman (aside from the personal attacks) – like most members of his profession, is that they use words in a fashion more applicable to a Perry Mason courtroom drama. Although he claims to have been shooting since he was six-years old, he – as most supporters of gun-control – seem to lack the understanding of what we face today, having nothing to do with gun control – but people control. As once stated in a column by Lewis Goldberg’s on the Patriotist of October 14, 2000 – “We have the means at our disposal to turn America into a gated community instead of a prison yard.” – and yet, to me – if we continue on THIS path – we will in fact become the prison yard.
“Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom.“ ~ John F. Kennedy
Many are calling for more stringent gun-control measures and new legislation – and yet we have thousands of “laws” on the books today, which can not – and will not be enforced – due to members of Mr. attorney’s profession, who have used the system to get perpetrators off the hook by intricate nuances, which they and their colleagues have cleverly devised, in order to manipulate said system. Consider Bannerman’s own words: “The Sixth Amendment guarantees defendant’s the right to counsel, which tax payers like you foot. I can get shooters off, and have.” How many violent murders and rapes have taken place in this nation because of the needs of the Bar to “get their client off” on technicalities? That’s one set of ‘numbers’ you won’t be reading about any time soon. Lewis’s response to Bannerman: “While lawyers like you are manipulating judges, juries and the law to release violent criminals, you criticize those of us who wish to defend ourselves from those that you release back into society to prey on us. Who are the real extremists, counselor?“
Spin the ‘numbers’ to emphasize a point – no matter the source or whether they are true or not. We’ve witnessed absolute lies and deceit out of the ‘gun-grabbers’ during the last year beyond anything previously witnessed in America – and without apology from those who perpetuated the lies.
Where does the fault lie for snipers, such as the one currently terrorizing the D.C. area? First of all, it has been suggested that it may be the work of the Al-Quieda or some other ‘terrorist’ group or individual. Maybe, maybe not! It is possible that it’s just some crazed individual or even a Horiuchi-type shooter, who sees himself as serving a purpose – what purpose we have yet to know.
Consider the following:
* If it should be a government agent (and anything is possible these days), he/she could be engaging in psychological warfare, knowing that the publicity would have the sheople crying for more stringent gun control measures.
* If it is just some crazed individual with a private agenda, such as the one, which the government laid on Timothy McVeigh (supposedly in retaliation to the government’s attacks on the Davidian Church), then the end result is one-and-the-same – gun control. And who knows – he/she could even be one of those individuals who were ‘mind-controlled’ through the mis-diagnosis of ADD and ADHD – and the apparent prescription of those marvelous mind altering ‘drugs’ (war, my rear-end), Ritalin and Prozac.
* What about the foreign terrorist aspect? I challenge you to consider our ‘liberal’ immigration policies and those of our seemingly free-flowing borders. Anyone with a criminal or questionable background can get into this nation today. If we don’t let them in – they cry ‘foul’ and ‘discrimination’ and get the ACLU or the ADL involved to plead their case (through the Bar, of course). This is not an isolationist comment – but it’s high time that we go back to a quota system in this nation and CAREFULLY screen those who want to enter the United States. It worked well for our parents and grandparents and in some cases – those who came before them. It made for a strong nation. But oh no – not today. Why, we might offend someone. We might offend some special interest group – and we just couldn’t do that!
* Due to ingenious governmental programs, such as GATT and NAFTA, we have exported more jobs from the U.S. than we have created (I’m talking meaningful jobs here), all while allowing the free flow of drugs into the country. What does this have to do with gun control? More crime, more slime – and criminals don’t buy guns at gun shows – not as a rule – they’re bought off the street (stolen, in most cases)! Instead of the government waging meaningful wars on drugs and crime – we wage war on private, honest, law-abiding citizens. It’s easier – the American people have proven that – all with the help of elected officials and members of the Bar (in many cases it’s one-and-the-same). Remember, once the (honest) citizenry has been completely disarmed (and that IS their goal), it is much easier to control the people.
Sound far-fetched? Read your history my friends. Study it – get to know every nuance of what has happened to people of any nation whose rights and freedoms were revoked by a tyrannical government.
“By calling attention to ‘a well regulated militia’, the ‘security’ of the nation, and the right of each citizen ‘to keep and bear arms’, our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny which gave rise to the Second Amendment will ever be a major danger to our nation, the Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason, I believe the Second Amendment will always be important.“ – John F. Kennedy, April 1960
Socialists? Yes, they are! Each of those calling for gun-control has been completely brainwashed by the Marxist/Socialist-my-government-can-do-anything-for-us-while-caring-for-us-and-protecting-us-and-feeding-us mentality. Why have I learned to love them? Because without them and their way of looking through rose (red, of course) colored glasses, I would have nothing to write or comment about besides B.S. humanistic, “I, me, we, how-I-feel” issues – and for that – oops – I might have to imbibe a couple of Smith & Wesson Brothers cough drops.
In future columns we will consider the real meaning of the Second Amendment – the so-called “…right to keep and bear arms…” amendment. As for now, it’s time to end my rambling for one night – it’s after four in the morning…
If you find any typo’s in the article – I’ll fix ’em tomorrow – after all – tomorrow is another day. Oh, fiddle-dee-dee!
Without Apology I am,
Jeffrey Bennett

CornPone, We all know about the evils of drug abuse. The harsh reality is that drug addictions are self correcting. I am not compelled to save the self destructive so they can breed. How is an addiction to alcohol or nicotine any less destructive then an addiction to heroin? There are many of us who are tired of losing our Rights to the War on Drugs. Alcohol was declared illegal by the 18th Amendment and the 18th was repealed by the 21st. Which Amendment declares heroin to be illegal?

The opium wars occurred before the cultural revolution. I want you to read about them, and understand what opium addiction did to China before you blurt out some retarded phrase that barely makes sense.

“Sir, if the corner drug store is YOUR shining example of freedom, I’ll buy you a ticket there!”
Good job, chief. Next stop, debate team finals.

Politicians and criminals prefer unarmed victims. That is why they use the first amendment to chip away at the 2nd amendment until the 2nd doesn’t exist. Then they will work on the other 9 freedoms reserved to the people. You cant subjugate an armed society. I think history has proven that time and again.

Imagine over 20,000 laws restricting our 1st amendment rights instead of our 2nd. You think there’d be a national outcry? But the liberals still want more laws curtailing 2nd amendment rights. Why is any amendment more important than another? Not to me…

They can and will destroy a nation; for an example, look at China before they took action against opium. Make all the arguments you want to legalizing weed, but all of that changes when you consider heroin.” Sir, If China is your shining example of freedom, I’ll buy your one way ticket there today.
