They Sacrificed Their Lives For All But Died Homeless
Editor’s NOTE: Back in my early days of broadcasting out of Scottsdale, AZ – I was privileged to interview the author on a number of occasions… and today (9/29/19) marks 601 consecutive Rallies – and many never made it home. ~ Ed.
Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans,
The Old Veterans Guard cordially invites you to attend our 600th consecutive Sunday Rally to “Save Our Veterans Land” and “Bring Our Homeless Veterans HOME.”
While our Sunday gathering is a peaceful and non-violent protest against the Los Angeles VA’s illegal use of Veterans land and the inhumane treatment of war-injured homeless Veterans, the most corrupt VA in the nation has been anything but civil, honest, peaceful and non-violent.
We’ve been harassed, intimidated, insulted and assaulted, lied to and lied about, retaliated and discriminated against, falsely accused and criminally threatened, stalked and spied upon, andfalsely arrested.
Instead of the VA reaching out to work together for solutions, we’ve been harassed and intimidated, insulted and assaulted, lied to and lied about, retaliated and discriminated against, falsely accused and criminally threatened, stalked and spied upon, falsely arrested more than 30 times by out-of-control VA police and bureaucrats that do not have the best interests of Federal VA property and disabled homeless Veterans in mind.
Any VA police officer, VA bureaucrat and / or U.S. Attorney official that would falsely arrest and prosecute elderly Veterans for proudly displaying the American Flag, must be removed from the public trust. They are an International embarrassment and a disgrace to each and every man and woman who has pledged their lives to defend our Nation’s Colors for more than two centuries.
In addition to honoring the American Flag and Veterans who’ve defended Old Glory, the VA’s responsibility and entrusted duty is to honor the Deed of 1888 and maintain a solidarity, cohesive and trustworthy partnership with U.S. Military Veterans, and not with wealthy non-Veteran entities who have taken illegal control of this sacred land and operate it as their own fiefdom while Los Angeles remains our nation’s capital for homeless Veterans.
We will continue to be the voice of thousands-upon-thousands of voiceless disabled and destitute homeless Veterans here in Los Angeles
Moreover, 600 consecutive Sundays of protest is a rock-solid statement that we are extremely serious about our cause and will not quit, but will continue to be the voice of thousands-upon-thousands of voiceless disabled and destitute homeless Veterans here in Los Angeles.
This Sunday, we especially honor fellow members of the OVG who have passed on as their leadership was always inspiring and their dedication and loyalty to our mutual cause was relentlessly staunch and defiant until their last days, and they are sorely missed.

“No Homeless Veteran Left Behind”
For more than a decade we have respectfully and repeatedly requested that the Los Angeles VA declare a “State of Emergency” for homeless Veterans and we again call for a Humanitarian Relief “Tent City” on the sacred grounds of the National Veterans Home and that an “Operation Search & Rescue Crusade” be organized with a sole Mission of “No Homeless Veteran Left Behind” be executed by going into each and every community in Los Angeles until we have substantially brought an end to Veteran homelessness in Los Angeles.
Join us EACH Sunday at the Northeast corner of Wilshire & San Vicente Boulevards outside the Los Angeles VA, west of the 405 Freeway and adjacent to the community of Brentwood …. 1:00 PM to 4:PM.
God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution!
