Category Archives: Are You Offended?

Yeah – sure – I am offended. The question is, “Will YOU be offended enough to take ACTION? But then again, you might just be offended due to the language and/or comments posted by other readers. Either way – It’s all up to YOU! If you don’t like it, well then, “Piss on you!

Spoons and String

Last week, we took some friends out to a new restaurant, and noticed that the waiter who took our order carried a spoon in his shirt pocket.

It seemed a little strange, but I ignored it.

However, when the busboy brought out water and utensils, I noticed he also had a spoon in his shirt pocket, then I looked around the room and saw that all the staff had spoons in their pockets.

When the waiter came back to serve our soup I asked, “Why the spoon?” Continue reading

The Art and Reason for Shadow Banning

Wikipedia had some interesting commentary on this subject on their site that I thought was worth noting. I won’t go into all of it but just a little so folks that don’t know can see what it is.

The Wikipedia article noted: “Shadow banning…is the act of blocking or partially blocking a user or their content from an online community such that it will not be readily apparent to the user that they have been banned. By making a user’s contributions invisible or less prominent to other members of the service, the hope may be that in the absence of reactions to their comments, the problematic or otherwise out-of-favor user will become bored or frustrated and leave the site.” Continue reading

Black students strike for free food and housing

A prominent university is creating a fund to benefit the descendants of black slaves while black students at a second university went on a hunger strike to demand free housing and free food, among numerous other demands.

Georgetown University students recently voted to approve a fund for the descendants of slaves sold by the university in the 1830s. Continue reading

Facebook moves to ban white nationalist and separatist content on its platform

It’s a dramatic shift in company policy

In a dramatic shift in policy, Facebook announced today that it is banning white nationalism and separatism on its platform. The decision, which was first reported by Motherboard, comes just under two weeks since a white supremacist killed 50 people in Christchurch, New Zealand.

In a blog post, Facebook said that any “praise, support, and representation of white nationalism and separatism” would be banned when the new policy goes into effect next week. “It’s clear that these concepts are deeply linked to organized hate groups and have no place on our services,” the blog read. Thomas Jefferson statue fight about seizing government

The Thomas Jefferson Memorial is seen in this general view. Monday, March 11, 2019, in Washington D.C. (AP Photo/Mark Tenally)

Hofstra University students have called for campus authorities to cart off a statue of Thomas Jefferson, saying the Founding Father was a slaveowner and therefore racist and therefore ought not be honored in the public sphere.

Guess the Declaration of Independence he wrote ought to go then, too — yes?

That’s where this is headed; mark those words. Continue reading

The History Of Beer…

How beer brought about Conservatives and Liberals

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel.

Beer required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture.

Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while the early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That’s how villages were formed. Continue reading

Breaking: GOP Traitors Sneaking Through Gun Confiscation Bill Tomorrow!

McCain must have come back to help with this one. ~ Ed.

Establishment Republicans are using the Mueller Report news to try to sneak a massive gun confiscation bill through committee TOMORROW!

The Mueller report is dominating the news, as it should. But whenever there is a major news story like this, we always look to see what the establishment is trying to push through while the rest of the country isn’t looking. Continue reading

Anti-Electoral College plan almost two-thirds there…

A legal scholar says it’s clear that Democrats are trying to eliminate the Electoral College without going through constitutional amendment process.

Many Democrats are still incensed that Hillary Clinton, their presidential candidate in 2016, won the popular vote but lost where it counted – in the Electoral College. Democrats have long opposed the Electoral College because with overwhelming margins of victory in high-population states like California they could dominate future presidential elections based on the popular vote. SATIRE? ~ Where Did AOC Get Her Sweet Potatoes?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was trying to explain to me that the world is going to melt, we are all going to die, and probably we shouldn’t be having any more children, but I was distracted by the dinner she was preparing on camera. She was carefully cutting sweet potatoes before putting them in the oven.

She put salt and pepper on them. Salt was once so rare that it was regarded as money. Ever try to go a day with zero salt? Nothing tastes right. Continue reading

Entire staffs at 3 Sonic BOOM!

Entire staffs at 3 Sonic locations quit after wages cut to ‘$4/hour plus tips

A representative from Sonic reached out to KUTV regarding this story.

We’ve published Sonic’s entire statement at the bottom of this story in italics. We’ve left their original statement in the story for context.

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (KUTV) – “Due to terrible management the whole store has quit” reads a letter posted on the window of a Sonic restaurant in Ohio.

The expletive-laden letter points the finger at new owners who “don’t give a [expletive] about anyone but themselves” as the reason for the entire staff quitting, temporarily shutting down the store. (OH – You GOTTA read THIS!)

Is It Dark In There?

“When our government makes liberty a crime
you are governed by criminals.” ~ Author Unknown

Let’s say for a moment you knew someone who got lucky, and I mean really, really lucky, and this person won a huge jackpot in the lottery – the kind where, after taxes they walked away with 700-800 million. Let’s say this person decided they’d had enough of society, of all the rules and regulations governing what they can and cannot do. Let’s say this person decided to get away from it all and bought a huge tract of land; far away from the nearest city or town. Continue reading

A simple solution to solve legislative gridlock

Remove some of the powers that nationally unelected political party leaders now have

Which citizens voted to give Nancy Pelosi the power to shut down our government? None. And yet there she is, able to close down numerous government services, with just the power of her intransigence.

We need to look at a simplified legislative example to understand the problem and the solution. To properly grasp this situation, it’s important to understand that essentially all legislation originates from specialized legislative committees.

Let’s say that Republicans introduce a bill (H.R. 54321) in the U.S. House of Representatives. Let’s also say that Democrat Representative Jones decides that supporting 54321would be in the best interest of his constituents and the country as a whole. Continue reading
