Dickens: Merkan Kritocracy II: Who’s Really Running This Republic?

Merka’s Kritocracy – Judges are in charge.

                  Heah Come de Judges

In this political cycle, voters elected #47 to lead the Executive Branch of the Republic for four years. But the Radical Democrat appointed judges are blocking his every effort to fulfill his campaign promises with injunctions and restraining orders. Who’s running the country?

Partisan politicians’ weaponization of the Department of Justice (DoJ) to persecute #45, and now #47, has led to the resurrection of an ancient style of government. Merka’s rejiggering of the US Constitution brought forth a new, selective judicial tyranny: the emergence of the Merkan Kritocracy.

This judicial seizure means that Merka is no longer a democracy; it’s now a kritocracy, that is, a system of rule by judges, similar to the one in ancient Israel. According to the Book of Exodus, Moses began the kritocracy before establishing a united monarchy under Saul, as described in the Book of Kings.

Scholars place this date between the 13th and 15th Centuries BCE, which is strangely appropriate in the 21st century. What was once very old, 36 centuries old in fact, is new again.

A Kritocracy or Kritarchy is a system in which judges hold significant political power, frequently exceeding their expected role of interpreting the law. It refers to a state where government actions are determined by a powerful judicial body and where judges effectively control the executive branch of government. It can manifest as a judicial branch having the authority to invalidate government actions it deems unreasonable, effectively setting, changing, or abolishing policies through judicial mandate or order to accommodate a politically partisan position or perspective.

The Kritocracy’s decentralized legal system distributes power throughout regional partisan strongholds in the republic rather than vesting it in a standard centralized authority.

I’m resurrecting this word for the title of my article because it defines what we face today.

It appears that these kritocrats decided that our leadership choices are subordinate to theirs. They believe their position as appointed judges gives them the right to determine what we, the people, want, or more appropriately, deserve. The kritocracy countermands democracy. Our democratic selection is unimportant. Their superior position in government renders our choices invalid. They know better.

The title occurred to me while researching my last article. I slogged through way too many articles that pass for news, searching for stories on current events and examples of justifications and rationalizations. I found a veritable trove of examples and discovered that the political and administrative climates in Merka have undergone a radical and revolutionary shift from democratic to kritocratic over the past several years. This is all part of Obama’s fundamental socialist transformation of America scheme.

This metamorphosis has actually been decades in the making, but you didn’t want another trip down the rabbit hole through Merka’s Administrative Wonderland. That’s not the point, and I don’t want to rehash the last 100 years, outlining this republic’s continual slide from the Constitution’s original intent to statecraft’s convenient reinterpretations for the sake of justifying their actions and performance.

I’ll add Kritarchy to the ‘Ends Justify the Means’ list of rationalizers. If you can’t have your way, tangle it up with the legal system; isn’t that what the legal system is for? Honestly, just using it to provide fair and balanced treatment doesn’t come close to adulterating the true extent or potential of its presumed power.

Kritarchy is the ultimate pretext to justify any action, allay any objection, challenge any process, block unwanted progress, and counter any development not sanctioned by the Masters of the Partisan Political Party. Remember this critically important detail. “A judge’s primary role is to oversee court proceedings, ensure fair trials, and make impartial decisions based on the law.”

The Black Robed Bullies of the Kritocracy are the partisan political parties’ partners.

These Politically Partisan Black Robed Bullies wrested control of this republic using it as a legal lever more potent than any bullet or bomb. They can divert a plane in flight, halt an army on the march, change existing laws with the stroke of a pen, stop law enforcement agents in their tracks, incarcerate the innocent, release the guilty, threatened actions bring powerful politicians and pundits to their knees with power from the bench, and change the meaning of the US Constitution itself. It’s not too difficult to envision how a partisan legal professional with Federal Bench credentials could advantageously reinterpret statutes, ferret out a precedent or three to do the parties’ bidding, and with almost 900 federal judges at their disposal, Merka is a partisan politician’s playground.

In order of hierarchy and importance, there is 1 Supreme Court, 13 Appellate Courts, and 296 District Courts, most of whom perceive that they have the authority to act in an executive capacity constitutionally. Of course, there are hundreds of subordinate courts at lower levels throughout the republic; 51 different levels in all.

There are 679 District Court Federal Judges, 384 appointed by Democrats and 257 by Republicans. This should address any questions regarding the flurry of anti-Trump injunctions since January. It’s no stretch of the imagination to recognize the political and ideological biases in play. It’s Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) to be certain, and this kritarchy will do everything possible to stop the Orange Nazi and his Gestapo.

The actual legitimacy of these injunctions is unimportant; what is essential are the delays to programs, and introducing the suspicion of wrongdoing to undermine #47’s credibility with his base, and to smear him in the public’s eye.

Appearance is everything for the DC Swamp Dwellers because perception becomes Merka’s truth through the Corporate Media Complex.

Merka’s Kritocratic spin introduces a partisan political bias, undermining the notion that justice is politically impartial; in fact, it accentuates and emphasizes its partisan positions. Lady Justice’s blindfold is removed so she can see clearly; in fact, she’s wearing partisan, politically prescribed corrective lenses!

In Merka’s case, it allows for partisan political positioning, providing complete judicial coverage with 30,000 state and 1,700 federal judges.

                                                               Heah dey iz!

There are 9 Supreme Court Justices, 3 Democrats and 6 Republicans. The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) is the ultimate authority on the US Constitution; its interpretations and explanations are the law of the land. I want to stress that their political alignments should not impact their legal interpretation of the US Constitution; however, we all know that this is not the case. As the Mainstream Media invariably reminds us, SCOTUS’ decisions are seen as following the partisan political party’s policies. The Corporate Media Complex concludes that it’s their responsibility to furnish their interpretations and political attributions along these partisan political lines, lending their visionary interpretations for good measure.

If the US Judicial system were as robust as we believe, there would be no need for interpretation and indeed no question of its fair and unbiased application.

How absurdly simple. but what would we do with a million out-of-work lawyers. build a border wall, landscaping, pick cotton, tend gardens, build houses? All are noble pursuits. and most certainly more productive than parsing words and hermeneutical exegesis.

– Sorry, these are the best descriptors for legal wrangling. and I did provide links to the definitions and pronunciations.

Ask five constitutional lawyers for their opinions, and you’ll receive nine probable answers and several additional questions for clarification. Now ask these same experts to scan 18 million laws. The number of possible responses is staggering, and you’ll be no closer to an answer than when you began, and probably wondering why you bothered to ask. Please refer to the two highlighted words above.

The framers of the US Constitution expected us to maintain this gift and guard it jealously. They provided the map and the compass, but we’ve decided to forfeit our responsibilities and hire individuals to manage it. These representatives have apportioned the republic to make it easier to control, not to manage. It’s painfully clear that their interest are politically partisan, pompous, and pretentious. Partisan political parties reward those who further the party’s interests.

Counting the exact number of laws in Merka is difficult, but guesstimates put the number near 18 million, created by 90,000 governmental bodies, making it inconceivable for any citizen to successfully navigate daily life without violating some arcane law, and this unimaginable number of rules and regulations provides limitless ammunition for the Black Robed Bullies.

Merkans filed 100 million cases in state trial courts, 400,000 cases in federal courts, and 966,675 civil cases in 2024. There were 1,322,649 active lawyers that year. The total spending on legal fees and court costs in 2024 was approximately $529 billion, or roughly $4,207 per household.

It’s proof positive that the best way to make a career in crime pay is to be a lawyer; you can’t possibly tell me that crime doesn’t pay.

No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot.” ~ Mark Twain

Artificial Intelligence would be invaluable in checking for ambiguities and conflicts in these 18 million laws, but investigating this complexity would expose and jeopardize the legal system’s stranglehold on this statutory quagmire. Regrettably, AI is inherently biased due to the ideologies ingrained in those who program it. Would you trust any response to be perfectly fair and impartial, knowing that the programmers were educated in universities sympathetic to Marxist ideologies and doctrines?

“We are drowning in information but starved for knowledge.” ~ John Naisbitt

The preponderance of information leads me to a question I’ve asked for as long as I can remember.

Where is your allegiance?

Is it with the republic, or are you looking for a partisan political victory?

The bullshit blasting from the Corporate Media Complex tells me that they’re in the American Marxist Party’s camp. They have what’s known as the Bully Pulpit, a conspicuous position of power, or a public position of authority that allows them to speak out so their agenda can be heard, promoted, and believed. As for Congress, the opposite of progress, their actions speak louder than their words.

Due to their political affiliations and the influence of corporate media partnerships, the judiciary often aligns with the interests of the appointing party. That defines Merka’s Kritocracy and effectively negates the people’s leadership decisions. So, regardless of our constitutionally provided rights to select our leadership, these appointed judges can override our choice.

All judges have a political affiliation. Although the US Constitution does not explicitly address political bias, it is implied in its statements about judicial impartiality. In addition, the judicial code of conduct mentions impartiality in several of its cannons. [Judicial Code of Conduct ]

Here’s another rabbit hole entrance. NO. we’re not going in.

The purpose of these past few paragraphs is to illustrate the mind-boggling muck and mire that is our legal system. With 18 million laws, created by 90,000 governmental bodies, 31,700 judges in thousands of courts in 3,143 counties, and 1,322,649 active lawyers, all with a variety of political leanings, it’s easy to see that we are a country of laws being run by lawyers and judges, and depending on your case and the mix of court, judge, lawyer, you could succeed or fail depending on your political leanings and a spin of the wheel of legal fortune. It’s all about the money, honey. It’s all about their power.

Impartiality and fairness are a pipe dream resulting from a massive take on the Hopium pipe.

– Hopium is the metaphorical substance that causes people to believe in false hope, which represents the belief that the situation will someday improve.

That description is cynical, but have things improved? Eggs are still near $7.00 a dozen, and gas in Phoenix is still close to $4.00 a gallon. Grocery prices are insane, homelessness is out of control, and there are still Biden Invaders clogging up hospitals, schools, and shelters. Military veterans are homeless and in need, yet the focus in Congress, the opposite of progress, is how to devastate the other party and gain complete control of the Republic.

It’s illegal for some, and perfectly acceptable for others. Does that constitute “fair trials, impartial decisions based on the law?”

Screw the republic. their narcissistic focus is on domination and sovereignty.

           CONgress

Trust is for fools. And Congress, the opposite of progress, is playing us for fools and letting the Judicial branch run wild. If Congress, the opposite of progress, pulled their collective heads out of their asses, they would impeach these rogue judges. But that would mean doing something for the republic instead of playing partisan party politics. And of course, the other possibility is for these Black Robed Bullies to realize that their job is to administer the law impartially and not according to a partisan political party platform, prerogative, proclamation, propensity, proclivity, or penchant. Pass the Hopium pipe.

Is Merka too far gone, too far down the road to ruin to be saved? The real America is in our rear-view mirror, and we’re driving headlong into perdition. The three branches of our government, the intentionally independent and separate branches that were supposed to keep us safe and moving forward as a republic, lost control to the Judicial, while the Legislative and Executive branches argued about who has control of what, and who did what to whom.

Our society is in tatters, we’re politically fractured, and we’re still fighting each other over skin color, ethnicity, and which political party has power.

Merka is almost 250 years old and further from awareness of who we could be than before we were formed, because the highest court in the land is bogged down discussing the merits of proving citizenship to vote and if the First Amendment allows hate speech and incitements to violence.

“Defeat Them in Detail: The Divide and Conquer Strategy. Look at the parts and determine how to control the individual parts, create dissension, and leverage it.” ~ Robert Greene

America, as the republic, has lost its way, and the forces that divided us want to keep it that way. Some citizens recognize that we’re off track and choose to adopt a conservative ethos, while others prefer to embrace liberal ideologies. Both require commitment to the mindset they espouse. One is disciplined, the other, as its name indicates, allows the individual to choose what’s best for oneself and ignores the collective.

Here’s my summary of this situation.

The Republican Party won the election by popular vote, and the Marxist party lost. That’s it in a nutshell. The Republicans are thrilled and have their chance to run the republic as they see fit. This means that the winner gets to run the republic. That’s what democracy is.

Democracy: “government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system. A political system of the common people of a community as distinguished from any privileged class; the common people concerning their political power.”

It’s that simple. yet way more complicated than it seems.

One could surmise from the past election that the Marxists are sore losers; you would be correct in that assumption. So, rather than examining their choices and approach, in true sore loser form, they blame everyone else for the loss, it couldn’t possibly be them, could it.

If we really, really, really want to save this republic, we need to abandon all this petty partisan political party poppycock and work together to repair this republic for the citizens, not for these pathetic partisan political party principles.

What’s more important to you?

I choose the Republic. How about you?

~ The Author ~
Charles R. Dickens was born in 1951, is a veteran of the Vietnam war, for which he volunteered, and the great-great grandson of the noted author, whose name he shares.

He is a fiercely proud American, who still believes this is the greatest country on the planet, with which we’ve lost control and certainly our direction. He grew up in moderate financial surrounding; we’re not rich by any stretch, but didn’t go hungry – his incredibly hard working father saw to that. As most from that era, he learned about life from his father, whose story would take too long to tell, other than to say that, he is also a fiercely proud American; a WWII and Korean war, veteran Marine.

Charlie was educated in the parochial system which, demanded that you actually learn something, and have capability to retain it before you advance. He attended several universities in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree, and chased the goose further to a master’s, and has retained some very definite ideas about education in this country.

In addition, Charlie is a retired blues guitar and vocalist – a musician. This was his therapy career. Nothing brings him as much joy as playing music, and he wishes that he could make a living at it… but alas… life goes on!
