Dickens: Unidimentionalism

I’m sitting here sipping coffee and slogging through what passes for news. I’m not sure what bothers me more, the lies or the inept leadership in America. It could be both…

What passes for news is nothing more than pabulum and the misleadership of this country. It would be laughable if the results were not so devastating.

Regrettably, the American sheeple bought that bridge.

America is the door mate of the world. Please wipe your feet as you cross our closed and secured borders.

It’s all the same lame accusations and blame-shifting. NO ONE takes responsibility for their mistakes or decisions, and NO ONE is ever prosecuted or punished for these ludicrous and devastating decisions. Americans pay for these blunders in more ways than just financially. There is often no way to recover. The draconian Wuhan Pandemic lockdowns come to mind, as do several other DemoSoc gaffes.

It’s not just the DemoSocs. They all screw up, and we, the people, suck it up and clean it up.

That, my friends, is the New American Dream.

Congress (the opposite of progress) is responsible for this mess. They are the check and balances in government, or they were intended to be. They are nothing more than political rubber stamps.

Still, nothing is ever done. As much as the partisan hacks want you to believe differently, party affiliation plays a massive part in this. It is all about how this government can increase and retain power and how the parties control it. Ask any politician, and they’ll deny it, but the past 20 years tell a far different story.

Be very, very careful, or congress will committee you to death – but rest assured that nothing will even come of it. You’ll be subpoenaed and investigated by a crack team of partisan agents who make Barney Fife look like a synthesis of Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot.

They will discover that you used the incorrect gender pronoun on the playground when you were eleven, then castigate and ruin you publicly. And that will be the extent of this monumental waste of resources.

Do you remember the January 6th committee insurrection investigation and TV extravaganza? Congress spent over $3 Million of our money to prove nothing. AND… they tell the DoJ that they need more money to continue their investigation.
This is our government at its finest.

928 people were charged, 840 were arrested, and 65 are STILL in jail or prison, many still awaiting trial after 18 months. Now there’s justice for you – proof that Joey’s administration weaponized the DoJ, FBI, and congress too.

Hey Joey, Scranton called… They want their village idiot back!

Interestingly, the phrase “waste of resources” describes our government so perfectly it defies logic. I would add a waste of space, but space is a resource, which would be redundant, like most of the 2.1 million employees in our federal government.

I’ve been aware that Americans gravitate toward the inane for about 50 years when I began to recognize that we thrive on baseless conflict and controversy. Perhaps it’s a human trait. I don’t know many sheeple that can pass an accident without slowing to look.

Maybe it’s more accurate to say that the fourth estate, the media, leads the sheeple in this direction. Are they the Judas leading the sheeple to slaughter?

There was a brief time in my life when Americans trusted the media. We looked to them for unvarnished information and counted on them for an honest representation of the facts.
Who and what we believe is now split along partisan lines – go figure.

American’s trust in the media remains sharply polarized along those party lines, with 70% of Democrats, 14% of Republicans, and 27% of independents saying they have a great deal or fair amount of confidence.” – Gallup 10/18/22

Another Gallup poll from around the same time indicates that Americans are nearly evenly distributed among the parties: 33% Republican, 35% Independent, and 29% Democrat. – Gallup 10/3/22

This political affiliation would typically indicate a fair power distribution, but the conditions in America say differently. It all depends on who controls congress, which proves that it is the opposite of progress.

“If ‘con’ is the opposite of ‘pro,’ the ‘congress’ is the opposite of ‘progress.'”

What does this say about the Mainstream Media Mafia (MMM)’s political leaning?

It tells me that the MMM is Democrat-Socialist (DemoSocs) ideologically and complicit. The farcical part of my theory is that both political factions use the same tactics with equal aplomb killing the truth. Who can you believe?

The title of this article is Unidimentionalism. It refers to a single all-consuming focus on an objective or ideology. There are several possible contenders for this focus, but I define this focus as Power. They will do anything and everything to maintain power in this country!

For all the doubters and deniers, the 2022 mid-term elections spent over $16.6 Billion. Now tell me that this election and the gaslighting of America aren’t all about power. I’ll address the election in another article, but this administration’s lies, misinformation, and disinformation demonstrate their goal of totalitarian control of America – and we can’t stop them.

Stop for a moment and consider the source of this money. Do you know its origin?
Democrats – $3.58 Billion
Republicans – $4.7 Billion
George Soros – $880 Million
Third-Party – $74.8 Million

I wonder, what would be a better use for your money?

You realize, of course, that is YOUR money, RIGHT? Your contributions to the political parties and action committees are funneled to the candidates. They spend this money to advertise their campaigns to convince you that you are essential to keeping America free and saving democracy…

It looks like another bridge for sale…

Note: Democracy is an interesting word. Do you know what it means? I gave you a link, in case you’re wondering. The short version – means government by the people, in which the supreme power is vested in the people, not the government. The word for our current government is Oligarchy.

All this money goes to the MMM. That’s right, folks. Their political affiliations are rewarded by the candidates – with your money. Let that sink in for a moment. Every dime you donate, it’s funneled to the MMM to reward their political leanings.

When I realized this, I stopped donating to political theater. It really pisses me off! This cycle of corruption must stop. George Soros invest $8.8 million in the DemoSoc Party to influence their direction.

Tell me this is not ALL about power.

The impact, the effect is anger. I’m angry that the people we elect as representatives only represent themselves and their donors – you know, the people who give them millions of dollars for their campaigns. These elected (bought and paid for) representatives then look to their donors for cues on political decisions. We, the people, are an afterthought.
We are a means to their end: Election to public office and power.

Anger is America and America is anger.

Is this the American dream?

If you doubt me, listen to the MMM or observe the trends in the not-so-social media feeds.

It leads me to believe that this is who we are and have been for quite some time.

QED: Anger is America and America is Anger!

The obvious question is, how did we get here?

As they used to say when I was a padawan, that’s the $64,000 question; today, it’s the Trillion Dollar Conundrum.

It’s us – the American people and our unquenchable desire for bad news. We thrive on carnage and disaster. It is how the MMM captures and keeps our attention. The more graphic and controversial and damning the accusation or innuendo, the more attractive it is to the general public – and, sadly, even to me! Yes, I fall into this trap, especially when it’s a personal interest topic- like our nation’s future.

This particular time in the political cycle interests me as an observer. I watch the tactics used by both sides of this political tug-of-war. Both parties use the time-tested and highly potent ploy of “Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt” (FUD). Our attention is captured by the problematic aspects and implications FUD creates. The MMM is there to capitalize on it with fabricated lies, twisted comments, manufactured controversy, and wild claims, none of which are substantiated or verifiable but emanate from “reliable sources.”

Regardless of your political stance or leanings, you are a threat to democracy.

How is this possible, you wonder? Me too…

How is it possible for democracy to threaten the very thing that allows each citizen the right to voice their opinion? The only real threat to our way of life – our nation – is socialism – Democratic-Socialism. It is the wolf in sheep’s clothing. It is internal to the politics of America in one particular party.

I read this morning that the mid-term election is three wolves and a lamb sitting at the table discussing what to have for dinner. America is the lamb…

The dichotomy is that a representative republic is not a threat to itself. The people who occupy those elected representative positions threaten the republic.

I know I’ve said this more times than I care to count, but there are examples worldwide proving that Socialism/Marxism does not work. Yet, we ignore the object lessons of neighboring countries like Venezuela, Cube, Argentina, and much of South America. If we look a bit farther across the seas, we see that a select few countries still enjoy some form of democracy, and they, too, are leaning toward socialism.

Those that embrace socialism are either totalitarian wastelands or exact exorbitant taxes to support their social support programs.

Joseph Biden, America’s Moron and Chief, is preaching his divisive rhetoric. According to Joey, 50% of Americans are traitors to democracy and a threat to America. Now there’s an uplifting and encouraging message for the sheeple of ‘Merka! I admit to being an ignorant Kentucky Ridge Runner, but I am not a traitor. The only threat I pose is to the son-of-a-bitch that tries to defile this country. I put my life on the line once and will not hesitate to do so again.

If America is dying and our precepts are antiquated and passe’, I’ll die with her because I’m too old to change my ideology. There are no alternatives.

I’m no longer angry. I’m disappointed. The recent mid-term elections proved my theory that there will never be another unmanipulated election. The DemoSocs demonstrated their abilities with the 2020 elections and displayed them in the midterms. They placed specific radical actors in congress to sway the balance of conservatism.

Furthermore, the DemoSocs meddled at the state level to reinforce their political control. Notice that the left coast and New England are solid blue. Their extreme ideology is growing, spreading like a weed in fertile soil. The heartland of America is the bastion of conservative values.

The most plausible explanation is that the coastal elites are takers, and the heartland folks are makers. Yes, there is a minority of conservatism in mid-America. They are proud advocates of the original American values.

Still, the power comes from money. Many of the election victors were beaten by huge financial investments.

“A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.” – Marcus Tullius Cicero

~ The Author ~
Charles R. Dickens was born in 1951, is a veteran of the Vietnam war, for which he volunteered, and the great-great grandson of the noted author, whose name he shares.

He is a fiercely proud American, who still believes this is the greatest country on the planet, with which we’ve lost control and certainly our direction. He grew up in moderate financial surrounding; we’re not rich by any stretch, but didn’t go hungry – his incredibly hard working father saw to that. As most from that era, he learned about life from his father, whose story would take too long to tell, other than to say that, he is also a fiercely proud American; a WWII and Korean war, veteran Marine.

Charlie was educated in the parochial system which, demanded that you actually learn something, and have capability to retain it before you advance. He attended several universities in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree, and chased the goose further to a master’s, and has retained some very definite ideas about education in this country.

In addition, Charlie is a retired blues guitar and vocalist – a musician. This was his therapy career. Nothing brings him as much joy as playing music, and he wishes that he could make a living at it… but alas… life goes on!

That’s Charlie… a proud, opinionated, passionate American – and unless you have yet to figure it out – he is MIGHTY DAMNED PISSED OFF!
