Major Virginia pro-gun rally ends peacefully with zero incidents
A major gun rally in Richmond, Virginia, ended peacefully on Monday afternoon, with thousands of protesters dispersing without incident in spite of fears that the event would descend into violence.

The rally had been called in response to several gun control bills currently under consideration in the newly Democratic Virginia General Assembly. Thousands, or perhaps tens of thousands of pro-gun protesters showed up to oppose the bills. Many attendees on the perimeter of the state capitol were legally armed, although Virginia Gov. Thousands Of Pro-Gun Activists And Far-Right Extremists Swarm Richmond, Virginia
RICHMOND, Va. ― Thousands of pro-gun protesters, along with extremist factions from all over the country, crowded in and around Capitol Square on Monday for a pro-gun rally that for weeks has stoked fears of violence that reached the highest levels of Virginia government.

Three neo-Nazis associated with a violent white supremacist group called The Base were arrested last week after allegedly discussing plans to travel to the rally and open fire from different positions in order to cause chaos. VA SHERIFFS JOIN GUN RIGHTS RALLY IN SUPPORT OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT
Grayson County Sheriff Richard Vaughan was among the people who attended the Lobby Day gun rally. The Grayson County Sheriff stood alongside his deputies holding a sign with the words “WE SUPPORT THE SECOND AMENDMENT.” His office captured the pictures and posted them online. “We are here to s and up for the Second Amendment,” the Sheriff Vaughan said during the rally.

He reiterated his initial position on the issue of gun control. “If the bills go through as proposed, they will not be enforced,” he declared in an interview during the march.
